I think that Clarke being at the hearings is a great time for the tape to be released. It is now much harder for him to remember exactly what he said in the interview, if he even hears of the broadcast in the hearing room, and so it will be easy for him to dig his hole deeper.
It is obvious that his book was a job payoff for the Kerry team, if they were elected by the mountain of lies that they have fostered.
