Speaking of Condi ... I'm not clear (or maybe I am and it doesn't make ANY sense at all to me) about an allusion to her coming into the administration and not knowing who al-Qaeda is ? Did Clarke say that about her ?? I can't imagine her not know about al-Qaeda and/or ObL coming into the Bush Administration. When I heard the very first reports that morning on 9-11, I immediately told my co-workers that it was (imho at the time) the work of ObL and al-Qaeda. I was familiar with the earlier attacks on the WTC, the Khobar, USS Cole, and so forth. I cannot fathom Condi not being familiar with them as well.
Clarke is a liar, trying to sell a book.

Unfortunately, everything is perception, not truth. There has been an 8-point shift in tracking polls this week. Lies are winning the day, at least for today.
The moveon ads need to be countered immediately. Not next week, immediately. It must be brought out that Clarke is a contributor only to DemocRATS. These words must be used against him.

The reporters hadn't a clue as to the differences between a strategy and a plan. The Clintons' strategy was to 'roll-back' the Taliban, and they had NO plan for accomplishing that. For two year (plus).
Bush changed the strategy to eliminating the Taliban, and the plan he was developing was as noted in the article.
I wonder when or if the reporters ever grasped all that.
Clarke certainly grasped all that, eh?
