Democrat Kerry to Have Minor Shoulder Surgery

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) will have minor outpatient surgery on his right shoulder next week that may keep him off the campaign trail for up to four days.
Spokesman David Wade said the Massachusetts senator aggravated an old injury to a tendon from the sub-scapularis muscle -- which helps move the shoulder -- earlier this year when he braced himself against an abrupt stop on a bus tour in Iowa during the race for the Democratic nomination.
"He will have outpatient surgery on his shoulder on Wednesday at Massachusetts General Hospital," Wade said. "It's a quick procedure that usually lasts less than an hour."
The injury did not bother Kerry during a recent weeklong skiing and snowboarding vacation in Idaho nor does it prevent him from occasionally tossing a football and baseball with reporters and staff.
Wade said Kerry, 60, was not in pain, except when he made a certain movement such as "picking up a baby on the rope line."
However, he wanted to repair the tear to prevent further injury and "decided it would be better just to get it fixed now," Wade added.
Kerry was expected to wear a sling for a few days and spend time working at home in Boston before returning to the campaign trail.

No doubt he'll also be looking for the sympathy bump in the polls....

Liberals laughed when Bush choked on a pretzel. I'd say something but I value my FR membership, plus as a conservative we are taught to attack the opponent's issues and not them personally.

That must be it. It certainly wasn't caused by his ski trip, because as he says, he doesn't fall down, therefore making injury impossible.

Paging Hillary Clinton...report to Operating Room 3, Paging Hillary...
Kerry will look more foolish for having gone on a skiing vacation before having shoulder surgery while Congress is still in session. This reminds me of Dean's dodging the draft, but making the slopes!
Good time for Kerry to drop out for health reasons. They've gotten all the money they'll get out of this fool's appearance at the DUD party.
To: kennedy
The partisan press is always making innuendos about VP Chaney's health. Kerry's physical condition is worst. He had the prostate cancer, this shoulder problem and The Enquirer raised the possibility of a STD. Not only is Kerry unfit for President on a political, integrity and mental basis, I think there is a question regarding his physical condition to serve as President.
Did you guys know that Kerry is a Vietnam veteran?

Way too much info here; given his 'war wounds' are sealed.
Think it is perfectly obvious; he damaged his shoulder last week as he slammed himself in a fall off his snowboard.
Disgusting; not a shred of truth in the above explanation. IMHO, of course!

That wouldn't surprise me. You can't look at his face now and his face a year earlier and NOT see that that man's gotten his face shot up with botox. No WAY did the crags on his face disappear as quickly as they did. No way.

The only reason Kerry took his vacation was so he would be out ot the line of fire when the Clarke stuff hit the fan.

1)Maybe he is secretly seeing a Proctologist to have a Lobotomy?
2)After having Prostate surgery, wouldn't the Party be embarrassed for fielding a candidate who can't get it up any more? Don't they need someone who speaks softly and carries a "big stick"? Implant?
You can vote if you want to.

Good time for Ketchup Boy to sneak in another Botox treatment. He had his first Botoxification in December. Now 4 months have gone by and his face is sagging again so time for another treatment. And he will be due for a third Botox treatment around August. After Election Day, Kerry's face will be sagging beyond the ability of Botox to repair.

I think you maybe on to something. Kerry's prostate cancer
operation is never commented on. I can think of another
Massachusett's Senator, well two, and both were less than
candid about their medical problems during their campaigns
for the US presidency. In fact, Senator Kerry know holds the
seat of Senator Tsongas, who like Kerry, had been treated
for cancer as he began his presidential campaign.
If Governor Clinton could be asked if he wore boxers or
briefs, certainly Senator Kerry should be asked if he is
now impotent, wearing diapers or undergoing radiation
therapy as a result of his cancer not to humiliate the man
but to determine if he is fit to be POTUS.
