I enjoyed reading this, very well done. I disagree with you that the media was worse before, I have never seen anything like what is happening now. They don't even pretend to be objective anymore.

The author should get real. It is not 'crazy' to be right as often as Buchanan.
Don't feel too bad, ex; I was surprised when I read the first reply and realized that this was a vanity myself.

Good writing, No Dems!

We none of us knows if this election will be like any other recent one. But I could make the argument that the Democratic field was pathetic.

Howard Dean did at least had an executive position in his resume, but he was the only such in the Democratic primary field (not counting the "noted" general Wesley Clark, who did have 4 stars - but who, unlike any previous general who became president, started out with a name recognition of approximately zero). Senator Kerry is stale; 19 years in the Senate w/o attaining national office is pretty weak. And he doesn't exactly make you think of nicknaming him "Demosthenes."

Easy - George W. Bush is not his father and America is much smarter.

"They will write, say or do anything to destroy Bush."

Despite which, Bush's approval ratings are going up!

The mainstream media has overplayed its hand. Most of their audience no longer expects them to be telling the truth. Their blind partisanship is actually helping Bush.

I really think the bottom line is this. America, at least the one's who can think, love President Bush. They downright have a great affection for him. And just like Reagan, they want him to succeed.
In the context of Al Franken's new gig, someone was quoted on WABC radio last night to the effect that George W. Bush can say,
I'm good enough,
I'm smart enough,
and dogone it people like me!
LOL!
