Can DVD burners burn MPG files onto a CD and thus create a DVD

I am not sure I understand. Are you asking whether a DVD burner can create a movie on a DVD? The answer is yes. If you are asking whether you can burn a CD so that it acts like a DVD then I am pretty sure the answer is no. You can create a movie on a CD using DivX.

Use the VCD format to burn movies to CD, most DVD players accept that format. You get 1 hour on a CD at a resolution that is better than most VHS tapes.

From Left to Right the first end of the cable

RCA Jack Yellow = Video

RCA Jack Red = Audio right

RCA Jack White = Audio left

From Left to Right the other end

Mini Audio jack = Audio right+ left

Mini DIN (S video) = Video

So the three RCA Jacks, Yellow, Red & White go to Video, Audio right, Audio left IN on you TV or VCR

Mini Audio jack go to your line out on your PC sound card

Mini DIN (S video) goes to your PC video out(Note: You may need to go in to your PC video card settings to turn this port on)
