Study: kids willing to engage in one risky behavior may be inclined to engage in another.
Either that, or smoking causes the gay.

Antigay stigma and harassment, rejection from family, friends, peers and sometimes even physical violence can create a hostile environment for many young people coming to terms with their sexual orientation. This combined with the tobacco industry's targeted marketing to lesbian and gay communities is putting lesbian and bisexual girls in harm's way. So society is causing them to smoke....

Is there any point to this study?
To: chance33_98
Who paid for this study? And who sat around one day and thought, hmmmm, I wonder......?
To: chance33_98
No...I'm not gonna say it.

"Study: Lesbian & Bisexual Girls at Heightened Risk for Tobacco Use" In related news, Children's Hospital Boston also discovered that MTV-watching girls are more likely to engage in premarital sex, get pregnant, have abortions, take drugs, and have parents that they consider a--holes. The study concluded by blaming the Bush Administration.

The study also concluded the girls were more likely to have pierced tongues and navels.

"Is there any point to this study?" Of course there is -- the authors want you to conclude that the girls' behavior has nothing to do with personal choice, but everything to do with greedy corporate America and the right-wing Bush Administration.

Study: kids willing to engage in one risky behavior may be inclined to engage in another. I bet they're more likely to have body or tongue piecings and tatoos and smoke marijuana also.
