A 29-year-old woman has been sentenced to two years of probation for calling German airports with bomb threats in order to avoid a vacation with her boyfriend. Marina Busbosnjac, a student, had admitted on Wednesday that she made calls to the airports in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Cologne last September, claiming al Qaeda wanted to bomb them. The Croatian-born woman said hoped to get the flight cancelled because her parents disapproved of her relationship with her Polish boyfriend. "I couldn't say to my boyfriend that we couldn't travel," Busbosnjac said, according to the Associated Press. The bomb threats shut down Düsseldorf international airport for six hours and forced the evacuation of 15,000 people. The prosecution had sought a three-year jail term.

Probation?
That sends a strong message to would be pranksters that it's open season on German airports.

Yes, that is the kind of message that Germany is sending.
The worst a "known terrorist" can expect from Germany is to be deported.
Imagine if, during a land war, captured enemy soldiers where simply sent back to thier units - that is how Germany (and the EU) expect to win!
