WASHINGTON -- As the presidential race gets tighter and nastier, the F-word has increasingly crept into attacks against presumptive Democratic nominee John F. Kerry.
It has made its way into comments by the House majority leader, onto Internet blogs, and onto the Republican National Committee's website. It has shown up on sweatshirts and T-shirts, and been thrown around in columns by nationally known conservative writers.
Kerry, his foes complain, might as well be French.
"The French believe John Kerry has `a certain elegance,' " sneers a contributor to the FreeRepublic.com website, over unflattering pictures of the Massachusetts senator playing ping-pong, catching a football, and throwing a baseball. "Of course, the French also think Jerry Lewis is a comic genius. Think about it," the satirical posting says.

"In the United States, we have John Kerry, who supported a 50 cent increase in the gas tax. It might not seem like much for a guy whose 50-foot yacht, named after a French swashbuckler, costs $700 to fill. Who's voted for higher taxes? All with the support of unnamed foreign leaders," the fake ad continues, showing Kerry pictured with a question mark over his face. "All of it has his cousin so upset, he called to say he's voting for Bush."LOL! This is EXACTLY the type of ad the RNC should run for real.

Thanks, RonDog. I was a bit stunned when I read the first part of that article.

Now it's time to get back to work! Got lots of lampooning of Kerry to do!

Still, time to sick your lawyer on the lefty-luvin' BG. I doubt they asked for permission to use your "content"...
Yeah, maybe I'm just dreaming, but it'd be justice, IMHO.

They're playing the anti-intellectual card, the antielitist, anticulture," Biden fumed. "It's saying sophistication is something very bad, like you read the whole Bible, instead of just the parts you want." My, my, Mr. Biden should spend a day at FR. He might find that there are a wealth of people who have moved past "sounding out the words" and can actually think and write instead of say, oohhh, copying. And lets face it, a well done sneer, is more than just the expression one makes. I make here the moue(pull a long face) for Mr. Kerry, whose entire head gets longer when he lies.

Kerry's French connection***SAINT-BRIAC SUR MER, France -- Sen. John Kerry is not running for president here, but if he were, he would be a cinch to win the town's vote.
Call it partly anti-Bush backlash, after months of Iraq-related mudslinging across the Atlantic. But it cannot hurt that the Massachusetts Democrat sent summers as a child in this picturesque village hugging Brittany's rocky shores. Or that Kerry's cousin happens to be mayor of Saint-Briac.
"I know my cousin, and I know he has a clear view of the rest of the world," says 58-year-old Brice Lalonde. "And sometimes the rest of the world feels a little bit left out, not understood by the United States."
"I must say too," adds Lalonde, a former French environment minister and one-time presidential candidate, "his environmental policies are much better than Mr. George Bush's."
There are no pro-Kerry rallies, or presidential stump speeches in this village of 2,000 year-round residents, which quintuples in size during the summer. The few Kerry-for-president stickers are stashed at Saint-Briac's tiny town hall. But in this 16th-century village of thick stone cottages and apple trees, residents such as Stephanie Lagand are quietly rooting.
"Honestly, I don't like Bush's politics," says the 29-year-old newspaper shop owner, who moved to Saint-Briac three years ago. "Mr. Kerry seems quite nice. And he's got this French background." ***

http://www.suntimes.com/output/elect/cst-nws-kerrya10.html I don't care if his grandparents were Hindus from Calcutta, but there are very few people in the US who don't know the stories of how their grandparents managed to get to the US and start their new lives...and a person from a family of great means and pride in their heritage usually has the whole picture, not just one side of the family tree. How could he be so uninformed on his Kerry history?

A Globe staffer reads Free Republic? My first thought was that she could be fired...on further consideration, it shows that the liberal media is in disarray over that fact that people take John Kerry about as seriously as they take the French.

That image is very good.
Someone who is more computer literate than I am needs to put that up alongside the photo of Bush in his flightsuit after landing on the aircraft carrier. The American public can take its pick.
If I ran the zoo, that would become an ad.

Democrats do need to make more pointed [references] to Bush as a product of privilege, with everything handed to him on a silver platter." In my experience, this is the 2nd highest source of jealousy and hatred they have for the man.
The first being that he is THE symbol of their loss of power.
