Former President Bill Clinton last week told the September 11 commission that he never admitted passing up a chance to have Osama bin Laden arrested — even though his words were caught on tape, NewsMax.com reports.
Former Sen. Bob Kerrey, Nebraska Democrat, revealed the Clinton denial to WDAY Fargo, N.D., radio host Scott Hennen for an interview set for broadcast today, NewsMax said.

Wasn't he under oath when he testified to the commission? In that case, isn't this perjury? Let me be the first to call for his prosecution.

Clinton has NEVER lied--never. And I tell you truly that he never will lie. You see, as a Democrat, he is subject to the "Standard of Truth," which states, in the words of the infallible William Jefferson Clinton, "It all depends upon what the definition of the word 'is' is." In other words, "is" can be construed so broadly as to mean "is not."
Sentences therefore devolve into meaningless psychobabble, because the words in the sentences must be interpreted so broadly as to deprive them of meaning. Of course, this means that calling Clinton before a commission is pointless; his book is devoid of any message; and his legacy is literally as clear as mud.

I don't believe he was under oath and - even if he was - Clinton always lies and (no surprise) he always lies under oath. That was why he was impeached (it wasn't about sex)

I don't think he was under oath. Wasn't that the lame excuse given of why Condi had to sware on oath in the public because the facts were in conflict?
Clinton should have his day sworn before the public. It's the least he can do to put this to rest.

It wouldn't matter, in the least, if he was under oath. He could care less because he never thinks anyone will challenge him and they usually don't. The man is a pathological liar and most everyone knows it but they give him the benefit of the doubt anyway. Bob Kerrey, in fact, is the very person who called him a "extremely good liar".

Democrat Bob Kerrey said, "Clinton's an unusually good liar. Unusually good." Barney Frank, one of the president's most vociferous defenders, lamented that he wished the president just "would stop" lying. The New York Times was vexed by the president's "mysterious passion for lying" and penchant for "lying about his lies." About the president's tendency to lie, Robert Reich regretted "not simply the fact of it ... but its passionate intensity." The New Republic's Andrew Sullivan noted of Bill Clinton that "from the beginning, Clinton has lied with indiscriminate abandon. He has lied about genocide and he has lied about his golf scores." He adds, "Every label he has attached to himself, every public position he has taken, has smacked of opportunism, not conviction, self-interested deceit, not public-interested candor."

"Democrat Bob Kerrey said, 'Clinton's an unusually good liar. Unusually good.'"Way to pull this out of the archives...
Now that EVERYTHING these idiots say is recorded for posterity on the internet, we can haunt Kerrey, Clinton, and Kerry FOREVER -- despite their denials to the contrary.
To: Parmy
Wouldn't it be better to document when Clinton is caught in the truth? It's easy to tell when he is lying. His lips start moving. The sad thing is, I wonder if he is so used to his versions of the truth that maybe even HE dosen't know that its not the actual truth.

From Don Van Natta Jr's book, "First Off the Tee"
"Clinton would have gotten a lot more credit for his golfing talent if he had played the game straight, with no Billigans. But the flaws in his golf game mirror his flawed presidentcy. If he had played it straight as president, he would have had a much better chance of realizing the promise of all the natural talent and magnetic charm. Bill Clinton's golf game is as complicated and fascinating as he is. There are not many fifty-six-year-old guys who believe they are only a few practice rounds away from joining the PGA Senior Tour."

I called for Clinton to testify, in the other thread......seems the 'Rats, unbeknownst to me, already arranged for him to testify, without the cameras. Pretty slimy, to let Slick hide away in an executive session, while they insist on grilling Condi under Klieg lights.
Slither in, slither out, forked tongue flickering all the way. Vintage Clinton.
So do we add Kerrey to the mountain of liberal 'Rats who have allowed Slick Willie to lie to them -- and who don't care that he did, because he's so good on the issues?

The irony in this story (to me) is that it was Bob Kerrey that caught him. Kerrey has been one of the most rabidly partisan members of this commission and for a Dem to catch THE Dem in another of his lies, is too rich.

I caught him telling the truth once. Now THAT is newsworthy. In fact I sent the item in to a conservative magazine and they printed it. They couldn't believe it either. What Clinton said was that he went to sleep because he was tired. Wow! It just whacked me, like a slap on the cheek, that he had spoken the truth. After all the years of listening to him, hearing the truth once was quite a jolt.
