Good news, 570 bumped Savage for Tony Snow from 7-10pm.

I adore Chris Baker. I've been on Reeverse Trivia several times, and am currently agitating to be the first Reeverse Trivia Listener Also Special Guest.

570 KLIF-AM in Dallas has a decent talk lineup. KSKY sounds good so far, but I'll miss the Southern Gospel they used to play. (Fortunately, there's classic country on the air now at 1460 AM, so I can get my Bob Wills fix without having to listen to that noisome Nashville crap.)
I myself listen to talk radio only occasionally listener call-in shows make my teeth hurt no matter how conservative the slant might be. Most people who call in to talk radio shows are eye-rollingly inarticulate and often idiotic to boot, and I can only take so many ads for stay-hard creams and stool softeners before I want to fire a full 30-round clip into the speakers.
My favorite radio station is at 5.825 on the shortwave band - EWTN Radio.

What? You dont like Nina Token-turd? lol I would like to bump NPR right out of my taxpaying billfold.
Yet I still tune in sometimes to get world news, even slanted, because everyone else is just talking.
How about a bonified conservative new station with less commercials and less talk, more real worldwide news!
I look forward to tuning in to this new station to see whats up, I like Hannity on the drive home but what I really want is Right leaning news. Maybe some talk mixed in, but I want to be up on world news especially Iraq.
Not 3 minute snippets either, But details.

I've been on Reeverse Trivia several timesNow THAT is cool, way to go. Except now I've got that "Ken Charles, Trivia Challenge" song stuck in my head...
BTW, when you were in the studio, do you recall if they had an internet or TV monitor, besides the one they actually use for the show production? One of my minor peeves with pretty much all radio news & talk stations in TX is that, even when big storms are rolling in, they all just read the prepared generic forecasts, instead of letting us know exactly where the rain is(unless its the "bzzzzz, bzzzzzz" emergency weather service alerts). So I've always wondered why at the newsbreaks the reader couldn't just look up at a radar and tell us something like, "Heavy storms now appear to be on a line from Katy to Tomball and moving to the southeast." That helps me a heck of a lot more than "60% chance of rain this afternoon", and doesn't require a meteorology degree or high costs, just a simple monitor with internet or cable tv access.

I've never actually been in the studio - just on the phone. (If Xena's Mom sees that, the mystery of my inexplicably high cell-phone bill will have been solved, to my detriment.)
We should ask David, though - bet he's been in there. Yo Gold, might you shed any light on DES's question?

Of course in Phoenix we get 10 drops of rain and the entire local electronic media goes into "storm alert" mode!

"Besides, if all that's on at night is that lunatic Michael Savage, I'll take hockey."

Thanks for the info Diddle. I will add 660 990 to my dial. But more likely will stick with my Glen Beck/Mark Davis duo, along with my evil empirical Starbuck's coffee.
B-Chan how do you get the signal for EWTN. I would love to be able to do that. I only get to listen at night online. Thanks

Please tell us about 990 am's new show from 8-10pm, 'Chevas(sp?) and Joe'. I only heard a part of your interview, but it sounded like they are going to do a local Dallas show from a minority conservative's perspective, is that correct?
To: Diddle E. Squat
What?! No O'Franken Factor?
To: Diddle E. Squat; davidtalker
990 is home of David Gold. If I have trouble picking up 990am (usually after Davids show is over) I will switch to 660am. =o)

I think its the best conservative-outreach program I've ever heard.I think that would be Prager, also on 660, but he's on against Rush for his last 2 hours... too bad.

Chevis (Chevas?) King and his freind have published a twice monthly minority newspaper in Dallas for a while. I am not sure we can call them conservative, but compared to the NAACP they are. Their paper was called the Black Economic Times and I am not sure if its still published.
