WASHINGTON, April 13 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Senator John Kerry issued the following statement tonight in response to the President's news conference:
"Tonight, the President had the opportunity to tell the American people what steps he was going to take to stabilize the situation in Iraq. Unfortunately, he offered no specific plan whatsoever. Rather, the President made it clear that he intends to stubbornly cling to the same policy that has led to a greater risk to American troops and a steadily higher cost to the American taxpayer.
"We need to set a new course in Iraq. We need to internationalize the effort and put an end to the American occupation. We need to open up the reconstruction of Iraq to other countries. We need a real transfer of political power to the UN.
"The President may refuse to acknowledge a single mistake in the course of his presidency, but with deaths mounting and American sacrifice increasing, it's time he offered a specific plan that secures real international involvement, gets the target off the backs of our troops, and starts to share the burden in Iraq."

Why not a transfer of power to the Iraqi people?

President Bush (loosely):
We need to stay the course in Iraq. We cannot abandon Iraq-they need and desire our security aid. We encourage an international effort to help rebuild Iraq into a free and democratic country to ensure the security of the USA. We must have a real transfer of political power to the Iraqis. Did I hear the President correctly?

First of all, who is John Kerry? Didn't he run for president a while back?
Secondly-
"Unfortunately, he offered no specific plan whatsoever."
So we can expect the Kerry plan in detail when, exactly?
Is there a Kerry plan beyond "Bush sucks, so the war in Iraq must suck too?" If so, what is it? In Specific terms, since that's what Kerry has established that's what the American people need to hear.
I await the release of the document describing this plan.

We need to set a new course in Iraq. We need to internationalize the effort and put an end to the American occupation. Wonderful. Who is going to take the laboring oar in lieu of the American grunts John, and put themselves in harm's way? I thought Bush made it clear he would love more international participation in support of the new Iraqi government. But unlike you John, he didn't suggest that a White UN/NATO knight would manifest itself anytime soon, as willing to really share the burden in a meaningful way. You don't really think so either John. You, John, are a liar, indeed in many ways a more toxic one than Clinton, since you lie about important public policy matters.

Kerry's new strategy is "cut 'n run". It is sickening every time he opens his mouth on Iraq. He always says the words "internationalize or United Nations".
In this ignorant statement, he goes as far as saying we need to internationalize the reconstruction effort. Doesn't the fool ever listen to the news? There have been hostages taken by the terrorist from 13 COUNTRIES. Duh!

This is John F Kerry's UN..! "John F Kerry today told college students that we should turn Iraq over to the UN."
This was all done under the OIL FOR FOOD program. Lists names, countries, organizations, amounts................
A team of international forensic investigators is preparing to blow the lid off the much-disputed U.N. oil-for-food program in Iraq and will present new evidence of corruption at an upcoming congressional hearing that directly will implicate world leaders and top U.N. officials.
" It was Chirac who spearheaded a worldwide coalition last year that opposed the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and tried desperately to keep Saddam in power. "

Kerry's new strategy is "cut 'n run Kerry never said that, and is too "smart" to say that. He just wants to trash Bush, and say that he could have accomplished it all with soldiers of other nations taking some bullets in lieu of Americans. Of course, Kerry doesn't really believe that (as I said, Kerry is a liar), and of course, under a Kerry policy, Saddam would still be in power. But he would not admit that either. Maybe he will in time suggest that Saddam would have collapsed of his own weight if only we had been patient. Maybe he would suggest that the French would have taken Saddam out. Maybe he will suggest that his domestic program can be supported by the numbers, fiscally speaking, but soaking those that earn over $250,000 a year. Maybe he will suggest that that he has an essential core, that really believes something about anything, other than his own ambition. Anything is possible. In any event, whatever he suggests along these lines, it is all lies. He I am beginning to think, is a pathological liar, with a case far more severe than Clinton.

John Kerry made approx.
$340,000 last year after taxes. The note on his loan he borrowed for $6.4 million is about $440,000 per year.
1) How did he qualify for the loan?
2) How does he make the payments? He does not have the income to cover the loan. If his campaign is paying the note back what if he loses and has no more donations coming in?
3) Does he feel even a little bit sorry that this past year most of his "income" was primarily from being a US Senator but he never really showed up for work?

OH MY GOD! Kerry, who has yet to offer a single specific plan on ANY issues, complains because BUSH didn't offer any specifics? Go read read the TRANSCRIPT Senator. Bush offered about 100% more specifics in this ONE speech then YOUR CAMPAIGN has to date!
See Link
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/04/20040413-20.html
BTW, Senator, don't you think that for someone who regularly accuses President Bush of an "Arrogant Foreign Policy" your continuous referral to "building a real coalition" is an inexcusably arrogant dismissal of the 60 nations with people currently on the ground in Iraq?
HOW is this moron Kerry over 35% in the polls?

"We need to open up the reconstruction of Iraq to other countries. " Kerry's advisers must not lurk FreeRepublic. If they did, they would know that France has told their people to get out of Iraq, as has several other countries. And the UN Sec Gen has said Iraq is too dangerous for the UN to be there.
Right now, the US, Brittan, and a few other countries are the only one's willing to take the risks of rebuilding Iraq.<

Bwahahahahaha!!!!
Me thinks Mr. Kerry is due for another vacation at his loving wife's ski resort!
If the impossible were to happen and he did become POTUS, he would be spending a lot of time at that resort recouping and trying to gain his Witt's back through relaxation.
Say... 3 or 4 times a day?
After seeing his avoidance in his campaign of issues and his loss of sensible rhetoric when under pressure, if he were POTUS the White House would have to be relocated to a more peaceful and remote location!

Let's look at this.
First the media is sick as well printing the same old thing from Kerry-'that is Bush bashing', so they are starting to ask Kerry what he proposes that he could or would do. He says 'internationalize the effort', well Pres. Bush did and has forty-three (43) countries involved. Kerry says 'open up the reconstruction of Iraq to other countries', Bush did in giving out rebuilding contracts to other countries to rebuild Iraq. Kerry says 'we need a real transfer of political power to the U.N.' Now That's a kicker, the answer would be WHY? or what is REAL political power? Pres. Bush is going to give the political power to Iraqis' people. Is that not REAL political power? Who in the U.N. is Kerry referring to when he makes his assertion to transfer power to the U.N.?
If by some chance you, Kerry became Pres. and did this, would not the Americans and Iraqis people still be paying the price for Iraqs freedom? Who else would the U.N. call on to fight? At this point our partners would pull out.
No Mr. Kerry, it's too late to do anything but to hang in there and fight. The American and Iraq people will not take anything less. That's why the Democrats and you don't like Pres. Bush and don't want him to succeed, because from now on the Democrats are going to have to change and quit running away from tough global decisions and giving America away or selling her out.
