RE: the real one

I won't speak for CrucifiedTruth, but I took it that he probably meant a future showdown with the U.S. and any of our allies. I think the point is that we and the Russians are still at odds in regard to our national interests, and that will lead someday to conflict.

On the other hand, with a screen name like CrucifiedTruth he may have been thinking eschatologically, and if that is the case I know who will win that one.

America don't buy friends.

Bravo ! You have the heart (and mind) of an American. Props to your comments on this thread.

The New World does not think in the same terms as the Old World and this is the root of the problem.

You are an exemplary example of what it means to be an American.

What Hun in the Sun and others from the other side of the oceans forget is that we had mercy on our vanquished foes in WWII.

We will do the same in Iraq.

Oh, give me a friggin break.

When was the last time, or better yet, when will your country do anything significant in the world other than hold hands with the French?

In case you lost your way, this IS NOT the European View Forum, jackson.

BTW, enjoy yourself signing Beer Garden songs tonight.

ROTFLMAO!!!

I love you gipper....

Likewise here, and it will be a Kingdom War where national loyalties will not be the unifying factor.

It's too bad to read of the disputes between the Russians and us on this board.

I've often thought that, bar the USSR, Russians and Americans had more of a common outlook than most European Countries.

Russians, at heart, have the same spiritual soul as Americans, rather than the crass materialistic (i.e. the material world is the only reality) soul of much of Europe.

"At odds" is a very mild way to put it. It's a covert war. NATO is besieging Russia and the explanations given are all but laughable. NATO attacked Serbia - a fact that everyone here points as a mistake. Hello, why an organization that tends to make such stupid mistakes is still around? It's of no use in Iraq! Why it keeps the policy of closing in on Russia, long after the SU is gone along with its military alliances? There is no rational answer to these questions but one - preparation for a war. One resembling the Serbian war. Over a province. That's why nukes and missile defense are being moved in close proximity to Russia - to scare them into not using theirs. There is no other rational answer. Common sense is way more reliable than politicians.

Interesting to see Russia's response if one of their airplanes gets smoked on final into the airport. Dangerous missle threat.

I think there was a time when the Soviets did not have much terrorism against them, because they tended to go kill them, or send body parts of family members to them.

Sounds like an empty threat from a disgruntled anti-American. Are we going to get an answer CT?

Thank you Belmont for your refs. I red them carefully.

HAlf of them are nothing to do with Russia at all. They describe the relationship between China, Pakistan, North Korea and Myanmar(Birma).

Three of them speculated on theme that the Birma decided to build enegry nuclier reactor and planning to have talks with russian atomic energy ministry.
It was 2 years ago BUT nothing happened.
My guess the sides cann't agree on price. Birma doesn't have US dollars for this.

SO it is another MY prove that Russia doean't support no one. SHe just sells her merchandise for US money. No money - no sells.

It is capitalism Belmont. Nothing more nothing less.

Yes I agree Russia sells lot of weapons around the world. The reason of that nothing to do with support to anyone either. Just PROFIT.
Needed profit to feed russian workers and thier families. To do new research and so on.
If someone agree to feed those workers and thier families then Russia wouldn't sell these merchandises.
But I don't see no volantiers on that.

Anyway Russia sells so called "export" models of her weaponry. It means that they are DEFENSIVE not offensive and they are lot less capable then russian and american weapons.
Check this site: http://www.rusarm.ru/. It is the seller.
