This might hold the answer to the question "why did the US close the Sadr media and arrested his aid, provoking the shiite insurgency ?"

I suspect president Bush now has Mr. Putin on his "shift-list".

Why is the text in Swedish? "Comrade law and order" Sounds like you´ve picked it of some Swedish Communist website.

"Why need we risk by our civilian engineers in order to rise Haliburton profits?"

Then I take it you really don't care about the Iraqi people themselves.

Were your civilian engineers doing charity work? They were getting paid, right. And probably very handsomely.
So, they were willing to take the money, but too chicken to take the risks.

Truth 666.....just nailed it.

This might hold the answer to the question "why did the US close the Sadr media and arrested his aid, provoking the shiite insurgency ?"

What's your rate to send gasoline tankers into what was, at the time, an active war zone?

I'm certainly not doing it at the local competitive rate down the street.

Russia's support for Saddam was bought with oil money in the run up to the war.

They got they money not from the U.S. - so it`s not your business, lad - OK?

It doesn't matter where they got the money, thye were willing tio go to Iraq to make the money, while someone else was doing the fighting.

By the way, if there were street combats in the city where you work - will you heroically go to office crawling among ruins and hiding from angry kidnappers? :-) Or will you "chicken"?

They made the choice to go to a country at war in the first place. But as soon as there is a danger to them, they run.

Throughout early decades in the not too distant past, few countries have had more influence on another country, politically and culturally, than France on Russia. In fact, after the revolution, Russian aristocrats found safe haven and settled in France. The imperial courts of Russian tsars and tsarinas were sometimes more in the French style than of any native origin.

Russia's aim in life now is to create as much mischief and havoc for the U.S. as it can short of a shooting war. Rush ought to get out that heavy Russian dirge song he used to play when he wanted to point out that communism isn't dead and Gorbisms still exist.
