Who criticized the President last night? I didn't see ABC or FOX do it - and they were the only major channels that had any commentary (CBS and NBC went back to regular programming).

"Meanwhile an official Iranian delegation arrived from Tehran to try to avert violence and was expected to meet Sadr, according to an aide to the firebrand cleric."

That chubby so called 'firebrand cleric' is like all the rest of the cowards in the end. He'll let others die for him - but chickens out when it comes to his own hide!

Maybe the actual channels went back to regular programming but their Bleeding Heart Liberal Puke Reporters were still there Belching out their demand for an apology and admission that he was wrong in his War on Terror the whole damn time.

You are right however about Fox, i'm not sure about the ABC reporter. Is Bill Sammon's an ABC reporter, he asked a fair question but CBS, NBC, USA etc. were hell bent on getting an apology.

,i>"The Iranian foreign ministry delegation has arrived but we still do not know the identities of the members of this delegation," said Haidar Aziz, who presents himself as a close aide and personal interpreter for Sadr.

My, isn't this an interesting development? Exile to Iran anyone?

IMO this is nothing more than buying time on sadr's part. It brings to mind "Lion of the Desert" wherein the Italians meet with Muktahr in negotiations while new troops and weapons are landing in the north.

Besides, haven't we learned yet, there is no negotiating with terrorists?

Iraqi Shi`ite cleric Moqtada Al-Sadr drops conditions for talks with U.S., according to his spokesman.

Ahh...I was focusing on the commentary afterwards - which seems always more important that the press conference itself (for influencing public opinion). Most commentary seemed decidedly pro-Bush on ABC and Fox.

"Moqtada Sadr is ready to accept what the Marjaiya (the top Shiite spiritual leaders) ask for and to drop the conditions he had set for a mediation," Qais al-Khazaali told a press conference in Najaf."

You're looking pretty smart right about now.

"But quite frankly i'm so pissed off about our men & women and civilians being butchered and drug through the streets that I really wouldn't care if they did. The Iraqi's seem to be an ungrateful lot of people in my opinion. If they want to fight against us and go to Allah, let's send them there."

Look at the big picture HR II. The majority of the news you're getting is from the ultra liberal media as they seek to overthrow GWB. I truly believe that the faction in Iraq that is ungrateful are Baath holdovers, some malcontents, plus Iranians, some Syrians, some Saudis, etc.

Probably the majority of the people are just like a lot of people you know and like. Scared but decent people.

"Exile to Iran anyone?"

They better not let this terrorist loser go to Iran. He's always going to try to undermine us not matter what. We should make it clear we won't settle for anything less than his capture or death.

I'll buy that, we probably do get an inflated version of the way things really are over there. I just get so mad when our people are butchered trying to help these people, I mean the four guy's they killed and dragged through the streets were delivering food for god's sake. I'll tell you what makes me the maddest though is our own people crowing time after time about this being Vietnam and how were going to lose. We're the greatest Country on the planet and losing isn't even an option in my opinion.
