Morris: Gorelick U.S. Official Most Responsible for 9/11
NewsMax.com ^ | April 14, 2004

Posted on 04/15/2004 8:01:30 AM PDT by Darryl Newhart

Former chief White House political adviser Dick Morris charged Wednesday night that 9/11 Commissioner Jamie Gorelick is the U.S. public official "most responsible for 9/11 happening."

"Of all of the public officials in the Clinton administration and the Bush administration, the one who is most directly, in my judgment, responsible for 9/11 happening is Jamie Gorelick," Morris told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes."

Morris cited the now notorious Gorelick memo, a document she issued in 1995 while serving as deputy attorney general that impeded the U.S.'s war on terrorism.

"This woman is bad news," Morris charged. "She ran the Justice Department for three years - Reno was a figurehead during that period."

The top political consultant said that it was Gorelick's "invention to set up this wall that separated investigators from intelligence gatherers."

Morris cited the arrest of the so-called 20th hijacker, Zacarias Moussaui, whose computer contained the names of some of the Sept. 11 hijackers and the flight schools they attended.

While prosecutors pursued Moussaui on an immigration violation, he said, "they couldn't let the intelligence types look at his computer."

"Jamie Gorelick is more responsible than anybody for [the] 9/11 [plot] going undetected," Morris concluded.

And, who ordered Gorlick to write the memo? Of course, Hildabeast. Now we really know who is responsible.

From the related link:

During Clinton's second term, Morris said, he was "terribly, terribly and totally distracted by impeachment. There was no way that he was going to pay enough attention to an issue like terrorism.

The way I remember it, the first time Clinton acted like terrorism was a serious issue was the day of Lewinsky's grand jury testimony.

Well, squeeze Gore-lick hard enough (legal prosecution, humiliation, etc. etc. etc...) and she just might spill her socialist, anti-American guts to implicate the supreme bitch.

This entire 9/11 Commission fiasco is simply a DNC media performance in order to preemptively shift the public's perception of responsibility for the terrorist attacks away from Clinton and onto Bush (during an election year no less).

How did Gorelick get on the commission in the first place??

Doesn't she OBVIOUSLY have a conflict of interest? It would be like Larry Thompson (Ashcroft's deputy) sitting on the bench - she should be ANSWERING for that memo!

The Utterly Absolutely Disgraced 911 Commission [by their own choice]

"Do you really think you are gonna get to ask me why I dared refuse repeat DOJ requests for investigations of dangerous illegal aliens.
Do you really think you are gonna get to ask me why I arranged to stovepipe intelligence to make intraagency effective communication useless.
Do you really think you are gonna get to ask me why illegal aliens who were felons became voters for our Democratic party.
Do you really think you are gonna get to ask me why I OK'd the use of stolen FBI files on DNC computers.
Not a chance. Following LBJ, your gonads are in my fist and your FBI files are in my computer.
Now go away.
"

"Some wonder whether [Clinton] was distracted by the legal and
political quagmire of the Monica Lewinsky case.
And even former Clinton aides now regret that the
battle with bin Laden and his Al-Qaida organization was never fully joined.
'Clearly, not enough was done,' said Jamie Gorelick,
a former deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration.
'We should have caught this. Why this happened, I don't know.
Responsibilities were given out. Resources were given. Authorities existed.
We should have prevented this.
'

That's a damned good question... how did Gorelick AND Ben-Veniste (the Clintons' Whitewater lawyer) get on the commission? Or Thomas Kean, for that matter?

Is there some petition going to force Gore-lick to resign and testify under oath in this commission, to investigate her handling of the AG office???????

They would probably find a gold mine of info there and I'm sure Ashcroft could find it in himself to cough up the needed dirt. It is high time and past time to expose these anti-Americans for what they are. (Communist is too kind a word for the likes of Gore-lick and company).

May they earn their just deserved status as worse than traitors to this country.

Are there any tracks leadin back to Hitlary? Or are you just making an assumption?

I'd love proof, this would be so damaging.

I have seen no proof, so this is an assumption.

Reno was just a figurehead and Gorlick was actually running the department. That fact is, nither of them made a decisiion like this (to write the memo).

Gorlick must be put under oath and asked who ordered her to write the memo. Only then will we get to the bottom of this.

I am curious as to how Gorelick came into the administration. What is her history and connection to the Clintons? Inquiring minds want to know. Is she a Hillary buddy, a Janet buddy or what. Who is responsible for this woman.

This is why honorable government officials resign at the first break of a scandal they know to be true. They cannot govern under the cloud of guilt.

A couple of weeks after the Lewinsky scandal broke, there was a similar scandal in England. It involved a high government official. When it broke, the official cleaned out his desk and resigned by the end of the day. Clinton could not do that. He placed his own interests above those of the country.

In any case, blaming Bush for 9/11 is absurd. He had been a short time in office. And, let's not forget, he had a lot of catching up to do with appointments, etc. since Gore and Clinton did everything they could to delay and hinder Bush taking office.

Gorelick is running around saying that if Ashcroft didn't like the memo, he could have changed it. Typical response from a liberal. Don't bother taking responsibility for something that had 6 years to breed and cause injury to our intelligence gathering. Never mind the fact that she impeded investigating individuals who want to kill us. God only knows just how much we missed because of this b*tch. Who's going to pay for the intelligence failures that led up to 9/11? As far as I'm concerned, I agree with Morris that Gorelick is the most responsible for 9/11.

and yet the partisan media skips over this. To their detrimen, FNC has only glossed it. This exposes the commission as a tool of the Democrats.

This is more significant than any attack on the President.

I just faxed my Senator, Saxby Chambliss, a letter demanding that Gorelick be removed. I called his office yesterday and was told "he wasn't planning on doing anything about it". I sent the letter on the off chance his office is just screwed up. It wasn't a nice letter.

This was the main topic at the kid's soccer practice last night. Granted, I live in a very Republican area, but, all the parents were talking about Gorelick and the bias 9/11 Commission.
