9/11 COMMISSION SCANDAL -- Democrat 9/11 Commissioner May Have "Enabled" 9/11 Terrorism!

The Gorelick memo, issued under the authority of the Justice Department in 1995, was blamed by Attorney General John Ashcroft on Tuesday for hampering the ability of the FBI and CIA to cooperate in terrorist investigations.

Other aspects of Gorelick's tenure suggest more conflicts, such as questions about what role, if any, she played in advising President Clinton that there was no legal basis to extradite Osama bin Laden to the U.S. when he was offered by Sudan [to the U.S.] in 1996.....

That's a must.

Ashcroft has stated that this memorandum is of utmost importance. Gorelick has stated that it is nothing new, of no importance. Conflicting views - all witnesses must be heard...

No stone left unturned...

I'm BEGGING that more gets declassified. As others have posted, I want the truth about the flaccid response of the Clinton Administration to acts of terrorism. I want the truth about how they obstructed investigations and made it tough, if not impossible, for investigators to do their jobs.

I hate to even respond because I will have to see your graphics again. I don't mind being reminded but I do have a problem waiting 10 minutes to see something I've already seen a thousand times.<p. I get your point as do most who post here. Must you constantly slow us down with a message we still hold dear? Take the message to the DUmp...

I also foresee the outing of the CIA agent that prepared the August 6, 2001 PDB.

Ben-Veniste mentioned the author as a "female", and I am beginning to believe it was Valerie Plame.

This is getting real good. The longer she refuses to resign, the more dirt is dug up to destroy the Clintons. I think this is why Hillary is jumping back into the public arena. She's going to have one of her lackeys in the media ask about it so she can reframe the issue as "old news" and "reaching" by the VRWC. Just watch.

I agree with you 100%. The entire 911 commission is an absolute disgrace. I seriously question Kean's credibility, too, in that he is so bent on keeping Gorelick on the commission. Almost every person on the commission has some sort of conflict of interest to begin with. The only thing that has come out of this commission so far is that the previous administration was totally incompetant, had no regard whatsoever for our national security, and is exploiting the victims and survivors of 911 to do some political grand standing on behalf of their clients being sued. (Believe me, at the end of the commission hearings, any attorney on this panel that has anything to do with 911 law suits will use the minutes of these meetings to manipulate the truth to points beyond recognition on behalf of their high paying clients).

Gorelick is one of many people in the Clinton Administration who is directly responsible for the demise of our national security in the 90s. The Bush administration should have nothing to do with her except some serious interrogation. In fact, she should probably be under inditement for what she did and did not do. If she is still allowed to receive daily presidential briefings, God only knows what she is doing with the information, and how many people she discusses it with.

The biggest mistake the American people can make is elect attorneys or people with law degrees into positions of power. When attorneys run the country, like they did in the 90s, this is the result. That these people are still positions of power at the taxpayers expense is nothing less than appalling.

Well, you might be right. The next time another blockbuster is brought to light, the Clintons and their supporters might start with the same old rants. "It's old news now, let's move on."

Absolutely! But let us not forget that, as the DAG, Ms. Gore-lick was also responsible for other things. She was also in a position to ensure that members of the law enforcement community not share/exchange information on other matters. In 1995, the National Drug Intelligence Center began to produce multi-agency profiles of high-level drug trafficking organizations - precisely what it was created to do in 1993. NDIC's mission changed to "strategic drug intelligence," which ended in-depth examination of all-source information on organizations. Anyone ever heard of Mena, Arkansas?

To All:

Does anybody have the e-mail for this "Honorable Commissioner"'s law firm? Perhaps she isn't aware how upset the public is.

I certainly appreciate your point. There's so much info out there to read and waiting for the same-ole same-ole to load gets tiresome. I'm first in line to forgive you.

Somebody needs to get this straight. Either Islamic terrorists were responsible for 9-11, or the former Administration was. If this government and/or its policies were to blame, I think there are a lot of questions that people going in that direction don't want to answer.

I guess it can now be said that major media outlets have finally started reporting on this story--just heard on the radio news that Gorelick has been getting death threats, even a threat to bomb her home, nasty emails, etc. saying she is responsible for 9/11 because that mean old Ashcroft declassified a memo. Unnamed democrats explain that the memo was nothing more than what has been policy for more than twenty years--she did nothing wrong and is innocent as pure driven snow! So now everyone can put this aside and move on...media has jumped right on this story, turned Gorelick into a victim and she did nothing wrong and Ashcroft is evil. So please MOVE ON from this story and quit wasting their time on having to explain matters like this...I mean this takes away good air time from bashing President Bush!

Thanks. This election will be very crucial and I just want to have a chance to be heard.

It never was anything personal with the poster, I just have a major problem with graphics. I don't see a reason for a Freeper to post the same thing on every thread.

America will be destroyed this century or will have another Revolution or a Dictator.

Possibly, all three. In fact, if we get one, we'll very likely get or have had the other two.

I believe you can set your browser to load all the text first, and then you can be reading while the images come down. I had mine set up that way when I was on a dial-up, but I can no longer remember how to set that up. Perhaps someone else on the thread can help. (I might be thinking of an earlier browser, or one other than Internet Explorer, like Mosaic or Netscape)

You can turn off the loading of the graphics entirely. In internet explorer do Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, then scroll down to "multimedia" and uncheck the show images box. You'll get a placeholder (red X?) for the images and can then right click on them to "show image", if you want to see an image.
