Saw their little bake sale today up the hill from where I live at the feminist delicatessen that names all of it's sandwiches after famous liberal women/lesbians. They make good sandwiches, I must admit.
The MoveOn people looked bored. Not too many passersby wanting to interact with politically charged lefty kooks even here in San Francisco. There was a big 'Bowling for Columbine' poster signed by Michael Moore on the far wall nearly out of sight that I wanted to tear down but thought better of it because it's not my property and defacing posters is something that a left-wing freak would do.
I also thought that it was amusing that even though the delicatessen was eagerly pushing Howard Dean on it's customers a few months back (he was for gay marriage, you know), MoveOn had a little table outside with a couple of Kerry people registering voters. All of the MoveOn people were pinch-faced older broads with only one mincing bearded fellow to be seen amongst them. They were all talking to each other in front of a pile of unsold baked goods. Would YOU want to buy Lee Harvey Oswald's home-baked muffins? I sure wouldn't.
There were some Kerry people downtown in Union Square last week with a little folding table by the parking garage handing out buttons and getting no takers that I saw.
Oh yeah, this Kerry character is really lighting them on fire I tell you.
