Clearly, Karl Rove knows what he's doing with the campaign commercials.

It's nice to see people think Kerry is an idiot.

Having gone to school with the arrogant, geeky, lying sob Bob Woodward, I must say the Bush Whitehouse was crazy to let this partisan a-hole anywhere near the President.

that sound you hear in the background is most of DU puking

Indeed! I went over there and they are miserable!!!They are saying,"We are Doomed". I laughed all the way back here. They just can't figure out how Bush has been raked through the mud now for several weeks and he is still on top. You are right, they are puking, Big Time!

What do you expect from the Clinton News Network. Do we have any real poll results?

Zogby now has Kerry over Bush 47 to 44, though tied at 45 with Nader added to the mix.

When consumer activist Ralph Nader's independent candidacy was factored in, the survey's results were 50 percent for Bush, 44 percent for Kerry and 4 percent for Nader among likely voters.

Bush gets 51% without Nader and 50% with him in the race. I would like to see a psychoanalysis of that 1% of Bush voters who switch to Nader when given the chance. They probably eat Cap'n Crunch for breakfast.

I think Condeleeza came through for Bush when it counted. She has such credibility.
Clarke and Ben V. came across just awful. And Woodward is looking like an opportunistic creep.

I think you're right.
The hysterical and meanspirited attacks on Bush from the left are backfiring on the Dems.
They are really turning people off.

I hope that this in combination with the total negativity and long face of John Kerry will add up to a Bush victory in November.

I don't believe Americans respond well to people bumming them out day after day.

I think a lot of people turned into the press conference, and were really angry about the way the press treated the president.

Americans want their president respected, no matter who he is.

"President Bush increased his lead over Sen. John Kerry in a CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll released Monday"

You know it excruciated those mendacious, anti-American propagandists at CNN and USA Today to have to release this information. You could almost feel sorry for them.

I thought the tone of the press conference might help W, but this poll was conducted earlier. Several other recent polls indicate W is holding steady or gaining.

The more they look the more they'll find an honorable GWB busting his ass trying to protect and fix this country, and nothing but sleaze and empty rhetoric with the Dems. Landslide.

The Kerry balloon has an air leak. Couric, Jennings, and Rather will have to come up with something special.

Yes it is so funny at DU. They think CNN, USA Today, Gallup, AP, and the Washington Post are conservative, and lap dogs of Bush! Guess your perspective is everything. Said all the other polls show Kerry ahead. Like What? How about the Gallup poll today? They are saying all these polls don't reflect the damage of the Woodward book. What damage from Woodward? That Bush was proactively planning for war. Isn't that what he should be doing. That he prays to God. Like 80% of the rest of America. Bush has been under assualt, and probably had the worst 3 weeks of his presidency. Look at the polls and his approval rating. All trending upwards. Americans now get their information from many more sources than the big 3 media. Whether you agree with Bush or not, he is truthful, and does what he says he will do. Big change from the last administration. I think the best sign things are going well for Bush, is to look at the comments at DU. They are worried.

Only 4% undecided? Somehow, I have my doubts about this one.

One of the enduring limits of polls is that while they are pretty good at prediction, which is their primary purpose, they are of little value in understanding what's actually going on.

The reason is that if you ask a random person for an opinion on a subject, you'll likely get one, even if the respondent has never until that moment given the matter any thought, and hasn't the faintest idea what the
issues are.

This is why polling "analysts" like Bill Schneider are such useless frauds. Twenty years or more and he has yet to deliver an unambiguous insight. He and his like are pretending to discern meaning in the meaningless.

hmm, Kerry hits the campaing trail again and his numbers drop again despite Iraq goin to crap on Bush and a compliant media in full anti-Bush panic mode. I've been saying for awhile that the more people see Kerry the less they like him. Maybe the Dems should just hide Kerry away in France until after the election, he would still lose but at least they may save some pride, maybe.
