Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, yesterday reaffirmed that Islam is a religion of peace and moderation.

Orwellian.

The crown prince was delivering the inaugural address at an international conference on Islam and terrorism, organized by Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University.

The university has been trying to shed its extremist image after it emerged that a number of terror suspects on the government’s most-wanted list were IMSIU graduates.

Fey.

More than 200 experts on terrorism and academics from European, American and Asian universities and think-tanks attended the event, titled “The Stand of Islam on Terrorism, Violence and Extremism.”

Over there for indoctrination.

The checks will be in the mail, courtesy of the Saudi Propaganda Machine.

Constant clashes between the West and the Islamic world were a bad omen for the future of the world, the education minister said, adding that the three-day conference was intended to clarify these misconceptions.

I see a Big One dropped on Mecca in your future, Dude.

Clarify on that.

Dr. Al-Angary also underlined the importance of unearthing the roots of terrorism and extremism.

How's this for roots: the threats against all other religions espoused in the Koran ?

He said Islamic teachings called for dialogue, and asked the faithful to expose lies and accusations about the religion.

The Wahhabi version of dialogue: We Talk, You Listen.

Later, the crown prince laid the foundation stone of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University’s SR350-million women’s campus and of an SR100 million project for a college of languages, translation and computing.

So Muslims can figure out what it is that the West has been creating, while they've been developing ....????

On the sidelines of the conference, it screened a documentary highlighting the growth of the university and its contribution to curbing extremism and violence.

How about contributing to the idea of freedom of conscience, speech, and religion in Saudi Arabia. That would do more for your Borg-like Little Country than your faux conferences on curbing violence and extremism.

"Constant clashes between the West and the Islamic world were a bad omen for the future of the world, the education minister said, adding that the three-day conference was intended to clarify these misconceptions."

Meaning the Jihad might be unsuccessful, unless islam can lull the West back to sleep, with deceptions about "religion of peace" BS.

I don't expect Bush to deliver the message, but I wish his surrogates would say:

"...there is something fundamentally wrong when so many clashes are underway around the world, in the name of islam."

"Is it islam?" Philippines, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel.....reading the list from at least 1968 to present, starting with Sirhan Sirhan.

Funny isn't it, that while a conference on terror takes place in the Tragic Kingdom, the policeintel HQ gets rocked by carbombs.

Very sad to see what are probably antijihadi forces dead, but it's a fact that Saudi leaders ambivalent at best about jihadis have to take responsibility for the deaths of the security services.

The Jihad is a Saudi OP. Now, they reap the fruits of what they as a state have promoted throughout the world.

Rivers of Blood and Gardens of Body Parts.

The Saudi Legacy.

Well, both Bush and a Saudi prince have told us this is true; that Islam is a religion of peace. We can quit observing what goes on with Islam in the real world now, it must just be mistaken reporting and coincidence that makes it look otherwise.
