Actually, I underestimated. The ping list has about 120 names of people who have shown support for our troops in the past, by sending them messages or by sending contributions for care packages.
Amazing!
To: patriciaruth
Yeah....I've seen you in action...YOU are a "doer" if I've ever seen one!!!

120?
Wow.......see? All people WANT is to know WHAT TO DO, and the good and decent people DO IT!!!
IF there's people reading this thread, who have NO MONEY and are dying to help...please...just bump the thread, ping some friends, and pray for the troops. This is a project for EVERYONE!!! It doesn't HAVE to be monetary! Just spread the word.

I hope that our corporations who could solve this sort of problem with a simple flick of the wrist will step up and do the right thing.
I sent an email to JCPenney as well:
Hi,
I came upon a message board on the Internet today from some wives and mothers of US Servicemen and woman injured in the Middle East.
The poster commented that the men and woman there are in need of the most basic things like toiletries and underwear.
Well, my first thought was Hanes and I flashed an email to them and asked them to help. But, I buy my shirts, shoes, underwear from you. Silly me. I have faith in you and your products and because I know you are a responsible American company.
As I asked Hanes, a pallet or two of your products that found their way to the Middle East would be an incredible message to them and us.
We will do as much as we can but, you can make this problem go away.
It might seem like a minor thing when the US is fighting for freedom of 25 million humans (who are gonna' flip when they get a load of what you can deliver).
Thank-you for your help and consideration.
Please refer to this link for more information: (Please refer to this link for this information http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1121972/posts?page=151,21)
Again thank-you.
Maybe a little American competition can help!

We'll see.
Post 9/11 there would have been no question of sending things to wounded in Afghanistan. But since the Democrats have chosen to make their stand this election year on being against the liberation of Iraq, the corportations may consider this to be "controversial."
To: Joe_October
To Hanes and JCPenney...I thank you in advance for helping our servicemen and women!
