The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute To our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could think of doing that is By taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN and are proud to serve our country.

Neither will this NJer. I was able to see the smoke rise into the sky from my back patio.
These so-called "Jersey Girls" make me want to vomit. I'm ready to pass around the hat to get these women deported to Massachusetts.
It also disgusts me the video of the planes crashing into the towers every morning just as an antidote to what the Global Left is trying to revise what really happened. Oh, yeah, I also make it a point to make sure everyone knows the piece of "debris" that hit and killed the firehouse chaplain as he gave last rites to a victim was a human being.

the firehouse chaplain Do you mean Mychal Judge? The brave man who's name the buttsex crowd is trying to kidnap into cause as "The First Gay Saint" (even though Judge kept his private life to himself and, by accounts, kept his vow of chastity)? The left believes that it is only ok to politicize tragedies when it is to their benefit. And then they are shameless about doing so.
In the months after 9/11, there were thousands of funerals for vicitms among Hillary Clinton's NY constituency. Senator Clinton attended exactly one. Yep, you guessed it: Fr. Judge's.

It figures. These are the people who squeal about privacy and personal lives as long as it suits their agenda. Like when Queer Nation or Lambda or whoever it is that was "outting people" who preferred to keep their personal lives private.
Back to point, I wasn't aware of that part of his life and it really doesn't amount to a bag of lightning bug guts to me. My point was more related to the insensitivity of referring to a human being as debris in order to save the comfort of those who refuse to accept what really happened.
It's sort of like referring to the people who were KILLED that day as VICTIMS and not CASUALTIES

I worked down there myself. I lost many friends and two family members. I am disgusted by the blatant politization on the part of the left. None of the widows I know is happy about it either. In a pool of thousands of widows, you are bound to find a few hard-core liberals. Especially among NJ residents. That's what's going on here. The majority of the 911 victims were Republicans, because people in the financial industry tend to be Republicans.

Hey, I am at the Equitable building. Any other Freepers nearby for afterwork drinks or lunch? NY-are stuff gets set up from time to time. The last one I can remember was a "Holiday" Party held in Connelley's by Grand Central. I did not attend because I don't go to "Holiday" parties. I say Happy Chanuka to my Jewish friends and Merry Christmas to my Christian ones, and among my friends, I take the time to know the difference. If you are interested in setting something up, I'd definitely be interested in attending, but organizing is tough for me to do becuase my firewall prevents me from sending or receiving FReepmail.
