Kerry Bronze Star Certificate signature questioned. Investigation warranted?
Kerry's PDF Military Files on his Website ^ | 4-15-04 | me

How come the paperwork on Kerry's Bronze Star Award is signed by John Lehman, Sec. of the Navy????

In addition, the date Lehman (supposedly) signed it is not on the document.

Did Kerry not get the award when Chaffee was Secretary of the Navy? If not, why not?

Did Kerry get the award 15 years late?

Or is the paperwork a "sham" and somebody made a big booboo?

I'll post the document as soon as I find it again. Maybe somebody here has it bookmarked? And, if there's already been a thread on this that I missed....please direct me to the proper thread.

Thanks!

SOMEBODY, PLEASE!! Mirror the site, get copies of the docs, don't let 'em disappear! This gaffe will get back to J'Effin's campaign, and they might yank the data, don't let them.

I, too, tried to find some other sig examples for Lehman and Chaffee, to no avail. Yet.

Why does Kerry call it Mr. Nixon's war when he served under Johnson.

personal experience. Even if a replacement was requested the original signature would be on it not a new person's signature.

That's what we are trying to figure out. Your papers would surely bear the signature of Lehman, not Chaffee. If that signature is the same as the ones on Kerry's two citations, something is strange.

handwriting experts have confirmed that a single person will never sign a signature the EXACT way twice. This is a rubber stamp. The question is if the rubber stamp makes it legit in this case.

Maybe we should just ask Lehman what his signature looks like, I didn't realise he was on the 911 commision. Hey carl, you lurk here, how bout some help.: Monday, April 5, 2004 6:12 p.m. EDT
9/11 Commissioner Lehman Reacts to Clinton-bin Laden Audio

9/11 Commissioner former Navy Secretary John Lehman said Monday that President Bill Clinton's decision not to accept Sudan's offer to extradite Osama bin Laden to the U.S. in 1996 was probably the biggest blunder in the war on terrorism.

Reacting to NewsMax.com's audiotape of Mr. Clinton admitting he turned down the Sudanese, Secretary Lehman told radio host Sean Hannity, "[Clinton's comments offer] a very good insight into the overall policy during the Clinton administration, which was essentially dominated by lawyers [who treated bin Laden] as a law enforcement, not a foreign policy or a prevention issue."

Asked if it was "wrong to conclude that the biggest mistake we made was not taking Osama when we had an opportunity," Lehman told Hannity, "Yes, that's certainly true."

"There were many ways in which [bin Laden] could have been apprehended," he added.

Reacting to comments from 9/11 Commission Chairman Tom Kean, who said yesterday that if the U.S. had nabbed bin Laden while he was in Sudan, "the whole story might have been different," Secretary Lehman told Hannity, "I do agree with that."

The former Reagan administration official said, however, that it was a mistake to focus entirely on the 9/11 mastermind, because al-Qaida is "raising a whole generation of young Arab children and youth to hate America."

"Getting Osama probably would have disrupted the planning [for 9/11]," Lehman said, "but it wasn't just Osama."

Good catch ...

Heck, GREAT catch!

Yes - Just why DID Sec Lehman (apparently) sign Kerry's medals, when he served 15 years earlier?

But, then again, could you make your titles more effective time?

The one you choose didn't exactly give me any "preview" of just how important this was....
