I don't understand people who immolate themselves. There are so many more pleasant and reliable ways to die. Why is this method so prevalent in Asia?? My suspicion is that most of these "suicides" are really "assisted suicides."
For those that are absolutely confirmed as self-inflicted, I can only speculate that it is done in order to avoid necrophilic rape.
