By that logic, there would be no free agency, a right that a few pioneers had to go to court to get. The NFL exists within the larger legal system. The NFL is not its own country. Viewed in that larger context, everyone gets what he or she can fight for in court, or negotiate for under the threat of going to court.

At least Elway had the cojones not to let his daddy do his dirty work for him. It was Archie Manning who passed the word to the Chargers, not Eli. I thought little Eli's lip was going to start quivering when his name got called.
