###Probably. But even if it is their mission might be to remain undercover and make it appear like someone on the inside.
If its believed to be an Iraqi by the terrorists, thats great sysops####
Correct on both accounts in my estimation.

In that part of the world it could be anybody. Absolutely anybody. But your line of thought is where I'd look first.

make that pysops..

##If they can't find him, how do they know he's Iraqi? ##
Propoganda. PSYCHops.

I should have just used the phrase mind games..heh
Imagine being one of them, While looking forward at our Badass Marines, they fear who may be drawing a bead on them from behind.
To: John Jorsett
Hmmmm, sounds like they need a couple more snipers to add to that one brave man. They need to be taking them out two at a time and then three at a time. Then they need to start noticing that dozens aren't showing up at the mosque. Maybe then they'll get the idea that they're not wanted.

An "Iraqi" sniper. Sure. I don't have any trouble believing this. We've been in-country for more than a year, and the Special Forces and others have had ample opportunity to train native snipers. Whoever it is has got a whole lot of guts operating behind the lines like that. Wonder if there's an observer as well?
To: John Jorsett
Oh, I'm not saying it couldn't be. Just that I doubt it.

Imagine how a $200/head bounty paid for each al Sadr gunman taken down would enhance recruitment...

There are any number of Kurds who would gladly shoot every last Iraqi in Najaf.

Why? Your first prhase is great.
Your second point is exactly correct. Get them scared and they start to second guess, and make mistakes. Couple this with the cluaustophobic feeling they get from not being able to get out of Najaf and the mistakes will compound. Snowball. Bring up the pressure and then drop the hammer when they are least gaurded.

Or, as Blondie would put it, the Man from Mars who eats Guitars. The "Blondie" I'm thinkin'of would switch the cigar butt to the other side of his mouth, say something like, "my mule don't think it's funny... you laughin'" and then shoot em'.

I could understand some fears while Saddamned was around, but he is out of the picture now. Not until November. Most of the world thinks Bush will be defeated and America will cut and run.

LOL. Very, very true. I would be surprised if Qatar, UAE and other 'friends' aren't providing special forces that blend in very well to the operations in Iraq...
