I'm in the National Forest just north of Dingman's Falls LOL Let me know if you'll be back in the area again... it would be mighty interesting to get together for coffee :-)

Yep, it is a gorgeous area... that's probably why we are packed with more than our share of environmental fantatics and Greenies, yech. My neighbors consider me a genuine fascist and I found a swatsika drawn on my van about two weeks ago.

Ah, well... just means I have more work to do around these here parts ;-)

Aw, we're not all bad. I'll be moving from Long Island to the Lehigh Valley this summer. I'm not a Greenie and I vote Republican.

The name of the route escapes me at the moment, but I'd come though Marshall's Creek, past Dingman's Falls, and make a left at the light. I'd go up a hill and continue for maybe 2 miles, then a right at a little market. We'd follow that road another 1/2 mile or so and make one more right, then go about 1/2 mile and walk into the woods...

As I recall it's actually so close to NY you can hear the shooting when hunting season opens in New York State.

I'll certainly let you know if I'm ever in the area again. And I suspect you'll find me far less argumentative in person...

Sounds like you come up Route 209 which is just a few minutes away.... I can believe you'd hear the shooting from NY while you were there. The nearest Dunkin Donuts to my home is in NY which should give you a fair indication of how close to the border we are LOL

I do believe we'd find more in common to chat about than issues to fight over :-)

Who the hell would run to a computer and post if a child was sick or the wife was killed?

Not anyone I know.

Happy, did you *really* speak to Bogdan by phone? Please, please, share the details of your phonecall. Also, the other thing that will

'break his heart (further)'

to quote you, Happy2BMe, is that his guestbook has a few comments that aren't necessarily sympathetic. Next time you have a phonecall with him (when he gets back from Poland or whatever) have him give you a way to point to media coverage of the tragedy so folks will stop thinking he made the whole thing up. Good thing YOU talked to him, guess you know how true the whole thing is, eh? And BTW, here's the link to the guestbook I mentioned ...

That is a good question.

A person who does not have another person to speak with & one who thinks people at FreeRepublic could actually be friends. It depends... Maybe FRs have been taken for a ride & maybe they're paranoid. ;)

For what it's worth I think it's far more pathetic than evil. When we were in grade school a popular but stupid gag for a while was to stare at the ceiling and then laugh when some other kid looked too. Then an older kid let us in on how lame the whole thing was because the perpetrator spent more time looking at the ceiling than the victim.

Lately there hasbeen a whole group of people who are so wrought with bitterness and hatred that they have nothing better to do with their free time than to post on FR and try to get us to waste our time in response. They’ve thrown up a lot of posts with questionable political views, trying to get takers on the arguments. That hardly ever worked (not surprisingly, people with such little purpose in life also show little creativity). Now they sunk to the level you see here, spending their time fostering friendships, then dropping their bomb. In the end they’ve chewed up a lot of their own time to what end? To get compassionate people to respond compassionately to a horrible (albeit fictional) situation.

The real evil here is one of the worst – that of purposefully wasting a life. But as it is not mine, nor the good peoples’ lives here, just these clown poser-posters, I find it hard to care.

That's amazing. How do grieving people find the time?

Hey there, yep, it's gone. Maybe one of his other personas found the time to tidy up for him.
