This old Soviet style trial "The Commission" is exactly what Rockey's leaked "memo" gave us the "ROAD MAP" exposing what these lying crooked liberals had in mind from the "get go".

That memo describes perfectly what we got to see with "The Commission"

And now we find out that Lehman, who I thought was pretty solid on the committee until he went to the wall for Gore-lick, signed off on Kerry's medal 15 years after Viet Nam. This whole thing gets curiouser and curiouser. No doubt about it, Hellery's copying the FBI records of everyone in DC was a masterstroke.

Hamilton had a more legitimate reason than Kerrey. He is head of some Institute(think tank?) that had invited the PM of Canada to speak and was to introduce him.

No excuse. Hamilton is co-chair of the commission, and was meeting with the president and vice president of the United States to discuss matters of profound national importance. That should easily trump an appointment to introduce a foreign leader to a non-government body who already know who he is anyway.

Did anyone see the Pentagon survivor on FNC complaining that Bush was not questioned in public and was not under oath. Seems no one complained that Clinton was not questioned publicly especially since he was in office 8 years to W's 8 mths. I would say the Clinton administration is at fault for 9/11 for it was their policies that they put in place that didn't allow the people that protect us to share info.

Idiots!!! Some people don't understand that the President of the United States is already under oath. Or maybe they do, and they just want to imply that the man would lie if he didn't swear to the truth. These are the same people who didn't mind at all when Clinton made a mockery of sacred oaths.

When President Bush insisted the commission meet with him in the White House, I was reminded of his promise to the American people to restore integrity to the Oval Office. In your face, Clinton!!

Ironically, because of the Gorelick fiasco, the end game for the Democrats has been reduced to one of nuancing the final report so that, while it looks "non-partisan", it will still point a subtle finger at Bush.

I don't think there will anything subtle about the blame being pointed at President Bush at all. The democrats on this kangaroo court appear to be totally deafened by the media/inside the Beltway/Upper West Side/Hollywood echo chamber which is telling them that this kind of immaturity and open contempt for the president is playing well with the general public. It's the only explanation I can come up with for their unprecedented rudeness and lack of any sort of class.

And as far as the RINOs on the "commission" go, has anyone ever seen a more worthless group of simpering, spineless p*ssies gathered together in one room?

Given these points, I expect the final report to be nothing but an all-out assault on the Bush Administration, laying total blame for the 9/11 attacks at their feet, and claiming that the attacks would have been prevented if Bush had not "arrogantly jettisoned" the "brilliant and totally effective" anti-terrorist tactics and plans of the Clinton Administration. The media will, of course, treat the report as gospel, and anoint it as the New Testament to Richard Clarke's Gospel of How Bush is Completely Responsible for 9/11.

Fortunately, since these people do live in a fantasy world where the entire nation is standing in bread lines and uniformly hates Presidient Bush, they won't have a clue as to what hit them when the vast majority of us laugh outright at their ridiculous report.

I didn't say legitimate excuse..I said Hamilton had a more legitimate reason.I believe with all the pushing for more time to ask questions,Kerrey and Hamilton look BAD.Kerrey has time for Comedy Central and he fits in well there. He has become a joke!

Only in DC could they take a hallowed moment like 9/11 and turn it into such a political circus. As horribly conflicted as Golick is, Ben Venista is a complete partisan fool.

Pray for W and Our Troops

Who appointed the commission? Then reread my post and do a little thinking, there are some contradictions in your reply.

I don't agree that it's any more legit.

"Hmm. Run off to score brownie points with the Canadian PM ... or meet with the President of the United States on the most important foreign policy issue since the fall of the Soviet Union? Decisions, decisions ...."

The NY Post and I are the only ones in the ENTIRE country that think this way. Amazing. If republicans walked out of a similar meeting with any sitting Dem POTUS in the same situation, the press/media, NATION would have went apoplectic...........and rightfully so. Which of course makes the silence about this issue so much harder to accept and believe.
