I need help with my turn page paper on the collapse of communism

Hi! My name is John Martineu. Im 18 and a student of Dover high School in Dover Delaware. I have been assigned a final term project. We are to do a 20 page turn paper on different subjects. I am doing one on the collapse of communism. Since you coservatives know alot about this, I was wondering if you could help me out.

First Id like to know what communism is and how it is different from socialism? Second I would also like to know about why Russia collapsed. Third could you tell me why you refer to certain people such as Ann Goodman and Helen Thomas as Communists? Finally Id like to know the advatages of Captialism.

Every bit of information will help me with typing this up. Its due in a month and I hope to pass with flying colors. I might even post it on Freerepublic when it's done. Thanks alot guys

well it's just I keep hearing some conservative refer to her and Helen as communists. I was wondering what the logic is for that. I was looking at your posts and you refered to democracy now to communism now. My mother listens to her alot. I never heard her mention anything marxist or whatever. I like Sean hannity and Oriley factor better.

I don't know how your teacher can ask for a term paper on the fall of Communism if you never had any instruction on what Communism IS. I say 'is' because there are still places (God help them) where Communism exists today. Look at N. Korea, Cuba, Mainland China, the place now called Russia which was formerly the Soviet Union...then ask yourself if you think those are good places to live or good examples of government. They are all poor, struggling, unstable, chaotic and weak countries. When you look at the basic domination of all aspects of human life in those countries, then you will have your answers. Communism is a dead letter, it cannot even be successfully exported outside its place of origin and its place of origin, (Russia), will spend the next 30 odd years recovering from its extravagant and foolist experiemnt with 'Communism".

ten pages is rather anemic for a senior turn paper, isn't it? Seems to me like this should be a ver series prpject with a hugh impact on the poor diarama-suffering kid's grade. We should all chip in and send him some cheese and hope the accompanying moose gives him what he needs. Unless his sister is in the shower washing off all the bite marks.

I think I just about covered all the FR classics here, and now we have some new ones, like "turn paper", and my new fave "diarama":-)

If your first essay for me were of the quality of your post here, I'd advise you to drop my class and take it at Houston Community College, where standards are notoriouxly lax.

HCC may even be too tough. The University of Pittsburgh is probably more appropriate.
