"Both explained Friday they allowed their appointments to stand because they expected the meeting, which began at 9:30 a.m. EDT, to conclude by about 11:30 a.m."
Bullshit. A moron knows enough to allow extra time for a meeting such as this.

"The Sept. 11 commission said Friday"
Tooooo funny, when the news about "The Commission" looks like they don't have time for the President then it speaks with commission voice.
These liberals would not have left if cameras had been rolling. They are a joke and a "HOAX" and where are those clapping, jeering families.

The commission was notified that there would be no time limit for Q&A. How dumb do these people think the public is.
They both had to run off to a political hack meeting instead of doing the job they were committed to do. If I were one of the Jersey girl families I would be outraged. Don't you think we will hear from them about this?
How pathetic.

No cameras to grandstand for. "The Commission" has become Hollywood stars in their minds, without cameras and no clapping, jeering audience no "soviet style show".
This bunch is still doing today what they were doing during the "WALL" building days of the Clintons via Gorelick, looking out for themselves.

If this latest spin is correct (which it is not) it just makes them look dumber than the rest of the RATS on the "commission" (lynch party).
These two Ass Clowns can not even manage to get their schedules straight or set priorities when they realize they are mistaken.
Yet we are supposed to believe that they can provide the answers to how we can prevent another 911 from happening in the future.
I enjoyed going to the circus when I was younger but the clowns always scared me.

Lee Hamilton and Bob Kerrey, left Thursday's meeting to attend previously scheduled appointments \
What is really obvious is that these two folks have schedules that are so tight that they could barely squeeze in 2 hrs for the President of the United States. There are a lot of willing devoted members of the public who would be willing to provide this commission the time and attention that it deserves - if it deserves any - and I think Hamilton and Kerrey sent a very clear message there.

They complain that they only expected the meeting to last 2 hours and then blame Bush for giving them an hour more!
What the report FAILED to reveal, is that the meeting lasted 3 hours. They intentionally left that out. Maybe because Gore gave them 3 hours? Or they wanted to leave the impression that it just went a little beyond the 2 hrs.
They talk about all the things that were 'supposed to happen' and not what actually did; resistance from Bush, time limited to 2hrs,etc.
And that darned contractory Bush saying he would only stay 2 hours and then staying 3, he messed up their schedule.
And let's leave the readers with the impression that Bush needed Cheney there for assistance and support.
This was all Bush's fault..........
Yes, It backfired.
