They took out a great big insurace policy against the cancelation of the olympics due to terrorism, they are only 100 days away from the start and still trying to get the buildings done, and suddenly THREE bombs go off but NOBODY is hurt because they get tipped off ahead of time.

Can you say insurance fraud?

My bet is on Al Queda, just like it was in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney... remember this? http://www.cnn.com/2000/ASIANOW/australasia/08/26/olympic.plot.01/

You may be right about that as well. But the Olympics are certainly going to be a problem it seems.

Here's a little riddle:
How many countries do they get to tick off, before the people band together and say enough is enough...?

The country isn't hardened enough [despite 911] to the level of threat we face.

I am afraid it will take a catostrophic strike at our government seat [state of the union] to finally turn the tide...

Its not a matter of if...only when...

"Prelude to the Olympics?"

100 days and Athens is not yet ready; I hope this is not as bad as it sounds. . .hotel? Olympic village? .

The economic damage - as it reverberates in world-wide fault lines; is success for these people. . .not to mention 'carnage' et al.

Okay; maybe not so bad. . .waiting; think I will go to bed.

I am tired. . .somewhere in the middle of this thread; this was id'. That said; does not bode well. . .fyi for anyone who missed the particulars posted. . .

"Three bomb blasts have hit a central Athens police station - exactly 100 days before the city hosts the Olympics.

There were no serious casualties but the explosions have highlighted fears over security during the games." Sky News

Fears have been running high that the games could be a target of political violence and security forces have been put on high alert.

Yet whoever did this somehow managed to place THREE bombs in a police station "near hotels to be used by Olympic officials during the August 13-29 Olympic Games." ??

The "high alert" doesn't seem very high to me!

It doesn't sound like this was calculated to cause a large number of casulaties. That just doesn't sound like Al Queada to me. I'm betting it's one of their domestic leftist groups. Greece is kind of a screwed up place that's why the Olympic committee passed on Athens back when they were having the centenial games.

"Won't be long before they strike the States."
seems they already have... several times. last attempt cost us three thousand folks... on 911 that is.

they had better pray we listen to our better angels and continue our "measured response" a little longer.

another attack on a NATO ally... and it won't be long...

It begs Travis McGee's question of late: "Will ali pray to a smoking crater?"

My thoughts exactly. Especially because it was a police target. What does al-Qaida care about police for? Only the domestic leftists hate the cops.
