Dick Morris Reveals Whitewater Secret in New Book
Newsmax ^ | 5-4-04 | Carl Limbacher

Posted on 05/04/2004 7:48:58 PM PDT by truthandlife

In his new book "Rewriting History," longtime aide to Bill and Hillary Clinton, Dick Morris reveals that he's guarded a secret about the Whitewater scandal for nearly a decade that could have led to Clinton's removal from office.

"What I was not talking about and have not for eight years is an incident that took place in 1996," he told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" on Tuesday.

Morris alleged that Clinton improperly influenced U.S. District Court Judge Henry Woods to dismiss Whitewater charges against then-Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy Tucker, who had threatened to go public about Hillary's involvement in the fraudulent Castle Grande land deal.

After Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno ruled that Starr had jurisdiction over Tucker's involvement in Whitewater, Tucker was "furious," said Morris.

Using Morris as a go-between, Tucker sent a warning: "Tell the president that if that SOB wants to play the game this way, I know all about the IDC," the formal business name for Castle Grande.

When Morris passed on the threat to Clinton, "he turned white as a sheet."

"Clinton sat down, put his head in his hands and said, 'Oh my God, do you know what he means?"

Morris said he replied, "No, but I think you know what he means."

Later that night, Morris said Clinton told him, "I took care of that problem today." Three weeks later Judge Woods tossed out the Tucker indictment.

Though the case was later reinstated, Tucker never followed through on his threat, which, according to Morris, could have precipitated perjury and fraud charges against Hillary.

What else does Morris know that he might be saving for a later book? Maybe something about good old Vince Foster?? Hope he lives long enough to reveal it.

Banned?..No way...Btw, speaking of being banned..one of my all time favorite threads was when Laz got suspended by Jim for three days, under what I thought was a "quick whistle" to sue the sports metaphor. Anyways, , I posted a vanity thread respecting JIm's right to suspend anyboy, but offering to serve out the suspension for Laz...it got over a thousand replies....was wild..even got JI to "smile" on the thread...

Now that Morris is out of favor with Democrats, he goes public. Of course, now that he's selling a book. Thanks for nuthin' Dick, and about 8 years too late...

It seems to me that just about everyone knew about this quite some time ago, but the press naturally helped sweep it under the rug. If Dickie Morris had come out with it back then, it might have made a little difference. But more likely he would have wound up in a cell with Webb Hubbell.

I've said before and will again that clinton could have raped a nine year old girl on the White House lawn on national television and his impeachment would still never have ended in conviction. Democrat senators would have still said he was the greatest of them all and Arlen Specter would have asked if such activity were considered illegal in Scotland.

Morris is almost more of a scum than the clinton's he so dilligently served. His, however, more to be despised because he knew full well that he served a degenerate, lying, corrupt to the core couple, yet he cared not a whit for this country because he aided and abetted them in their criminality. Even if the little worm is telling the truth, he is the more culpable in my book.

What are you talking about?

Reread the article. One or more Clintons might have been indicted. In that kind of situation, President Bush would have won by a greater margin.

Clinton sat down, put his head in his hands and said, 'Oh my God, do you know what he means?" Morris said he replied, "No, but I think you know what he means."

Ooooh, good answer Mr. Morris. That answer may have saved your life. If Bubba had any inkling that you knew what Jim Guy was talking about you'd be signing books from a shallow grave in Ft. Marcy Park.

NO...I have thought this over, and I finally realize that it is a good thing Clintoon survived his impeachment.

Had he been removed, Bush would not have been able to defeat an incumbent Gore (with the economy the way it was, Bush wouldn't have been able to run against Clintonomics).

So, Clinton has now become a running dirty joke on Leno and Letterman, and Dubya was there to run the WOT. Sometimes, we just gotta trust that God knows what he is doing...

I wouldn't put it past Morris to have some cooperative marketing deal with Slick, where he makes these allegations to hype his book, then Slick gets to hype his with his responce. Then they both sit back and count the green.

OK, IDC stands for what?

Limbacher undershot the mark. IDC is the Arkansas Industrial Development Corporation -- and the scandal was far bigger than Castle Grande (which was only one of its component scandals).

The IDC issued development bonds, which were brokered thru a Clinton crony (since indicted and imprisoned for drug-dealing and white slavery) and used to fund fraudulent schemes and, at the same time, launder drug money.

Yes, there is a Mena connection...

Your post made me think of something. I originally thought that Clinton was asking a rhetorical question in horror, but he was probably ascertaining what Morris knew and who he might have told.

You're right -- that was the best answer he could have given.
