Oregon Man Arrested in Spain Bombings Probe

WASHINGTON  — FBI agents arrested a Portland, Ore., man Thursday as part of the investigation into the deadly train bombings in Spain, federal officials said.

Brandon Bieri Mayfield, a U.S. citizen, was taken into custody on a material witness warrant, said a senior law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity. The arrest, first reported in Newsweek, is the first known in the United States with connections to the March 11 bombings in Madrid.

The FBI also searched his home, which he shares with his wife, the official said.

Why, they in fact do. Rode on it last summer. I haven't ridden on a lot of LR systems, but this one seemed to be fairly extensive, i.e. you could get around the city fairly well and it was extensively used by the population.

To an earlier post, yes, Portland does have a light-rail system, the "Max." Mostly just an West/East line from our western burbs through the city center and then out east, and then a N-S line up to the airport. A new line has been added up in North Portland, which is in bad need of redevelopment.
