Please forgive me if this has been posted already; my search didn't find it.
There's lots of useful information in here.
For one, a neighbor is quoted as saying Mayfield spoke of having been raised in Kansas, whereas most press accounts say that Mayfield was from Coos Bay, Ore.
Another interesting discrepancy is that Mayfield is said to have called his attorney, Nelson, because Mayfield saw Nelson on the news on Wednesday night. But Mayfield had asked Nelson 10 years ago where Mayfield should attend law school. A few things don't quite add up here.

"...played a MINOR legal role in the Portland Seven terrorism case..."
That one word lets you know where this reporter, paper, city. state, and country is coming from.
We are at war with anti-Christian/anti-America factions world-wide, and especially inside our own borders and they are being protected by scum-lawyers and leftist-activist judges.
It is time we declare war and take out our enemies.

re: Lamson said there was not much foot traffic in and out of Mayfield's office, only about one client a month. But it seemed that Mayfield was a hard worker, sometimes coming into the office on weekends. )))
My goodness, that must have been a lucrative client, indeed.

There has got to be something weird in the air up there in Oregon and Washington or it's that the residents are truely smoking too much of the BC ganja.

Okay, I'm a USA born dude, pretty smart 'cause I want to be an attorney and I call some obscure attorney about which law school to attend? Makes absolutely no sense.
The attorney's wife is from Egypt. Atta was from Egypt and everyone is about the same age. Wonder when she was in Egypt last.

Thanks for the post and the ping.
It appears that Mayfield may have been a Manchurian candidate for the Islamos.
He lied to his neighbors about his wife and didn't admit that she was an Egyptian.
If he only had a client per month, how did he afford to have his family living in the Beaverton area?

Apparently this Islamo and his Egyptian wife lived in that city just north of you before he decided to become a lawyer. (Newport for those not in this little loop!)

Can we post full stories from the Oregonian?
If we can, this full story should be posted.
In a short time the Oregonian will only have a footnote and charge people to even read this story.
Thanks.

CNBC is reporting that his fingerprints were found--and I couldn't pick up the rest perfectly--either at the scene or on some equipment.
CNBC, however, is often FOS.

But Mayfield had asked Nelson 10 years ago where Mayfield should attend law school. A few things don't quite add up here.I read an article last night quoting Nelson as saying he was Mayfield's "friend and mentor" but saying Mayfield would have a public defender. That struck me as odd--now Nelson will serve as his attorney..for the time being.

" A few things don't quite add up here." News reports last night had Nelson as a good friend but said he would not represent Mayfield.

Want to contact the brother of Brandon, Kent Mayfield, the one who has been saying stuff like....oh:
"At least half of us realize that this is a crooked administration," Kent Mayfield said. "This is still a free country, but look what happens if you voice that."
"He definitely has been wrongly detained," he said. "My brother's life is in jeopardy for being profiled by the FBI for his faith and for his vocal criticism of this administration."
Let's show him some free speech, folks. I saw him on the local news last night, and he said the "Bush administration" was "targeting" Brandon because of his anti-Bush views.
This moron should not be teaching in a public school, but he is, the Hutchinson, KS, school district. Beause of this, you can contact him at the school e-mail account he has.

Want to contact his biological mother (he also has a stepmom quoted on this page)? His biological mom has been saying stuff like this:
"This is mainly a case of the government trying to prove to the public that they're on the job, and they're using the Patriot Act to disrupt lives, destroy careers and shatter families," she said.
"The public needs to be more aware of the broad powers this government has gotten to get into our lives using the Patriot Act. We need to act quickly to do away with it before more citizens are terrorized."
