I listened to him give his prepared statement before the House Committee, and you could hear him sniffle at times.

I think the actions of these few idiots hurt him just as much as it has everybody else, maybe more.

If you ask me thats exactly whats going on here. This sort of thing happens in wartime and is usually dealt with quietly to avoid endangering our soldiers even more. Strangely this is broadcast far and wide. Who do you think has the most to gain from this?

The terrorists don't need pictures, they feed the population stories like this all the time anyway.

We need to bring back stff sentencing for acts of treason.

And I might add, as bonifide female republican mom living in Indiana, that I find Rummy to be absolutely courageous, possibly the most brilliant man I have ever listened to, a man who is so tuned into the goal at hand that he does not have time to hedge, mince words or smooze up to some nasty little reporter. Rummy doesn't 'need' to be liked, which is WHY he is so respected in this corner of the world.

President Bush made an excellent choice in Rummy, in fact, he made an excellent choice in ALL of his cabinet, and UNLIKE klinton, he meets with his cabinet and USES their advice! A good leader chooses those skilled in their areas of work. Unlike klinton, who chose people he could manipulate and order around....most definitely stupid and of course, willing to CY klinton's A at a moments notice.

Besides...Rummy is so dang sexy! I mean...heart poundingly so. He is man's man, but then, so are most conservatives. Think it has to do with having a core belief system and not worrying about the rest!!!

I'm not a fair weather friend. I think Rummy has been the right man for this job and I hope we are able to continue to benefit from his service. If they are able to drive him out by beating this issue until it's pulp, the resulting assault on the administration and on the war will be far worse than anything we've seen thus far. I pray we stay the course.

As do our beloved troops. I know that 99.99% of our troops are better than the few who abused Iraqi prisoners and will do everything in my power to see they don't come home to the same ugly reception our Vietnam veterans received.
