Did Hillary reveal who leaked report in her questioning of Rumsfeld today?
Senate Armed Services Committee ^ | 5/7/04 | Senate Armed Services committee

In today's testimony before the Armed Services Committee Hillary Clinton may have revealed the source of the leak of the report. Please have a look at the relevant snippets of the transcript from today.

I guess my theory is this: If she isn't behind the leak, she knows exactly who is.

She had more information, apparently, about the photos, etc., than even the Pentagon/Rumsfeld had. That does raise suspicions.

That was the impression I was left with also.

I'm of the belief that the "report" and the "pictures", when referenced in the context as to their public disclosure, are two seperate and distinct pieces of information and not interchangeable.

Precisely. And Rummy repeatedly said today that he had not seen the pictures (not the ones the press had obscured, but the unedited ones from the criminal investigation CD) until last night.

Mission accomplished, Mr. Secretary.

Mission is only accomplished if the media picks up on this. So far, they have been absent.

Rumsfeld immediatelypicked up on her reference and was very blunt in his response.

Interesting that Rumsfeld would gather more information than the "fact finding investigatory panel" of 1/4 of the entire United States Senate.

It's amazing what you can learn when you ask questions to find out information, and when you listen to people to understand what they are saying, rather than grandstanding to the cameras for a shot at the veep spot on the ticket.

He also stated that they had a tough time coming up with the CD of photos for him to view. That is just wrong!

The story I heard was that Mary Landrieu gave up her seat to Hillary, in return for the Clinton's help in her last re-election.

In other words, Hillary intimidated and threatened another Senator to get that seat.

And did it, no doubt, to beef up her resume in her run for the Presidency.

It was secret, for the protection of the defendants, just like our Constitution provides.

In addition to taking the photos in the first place, the release of the photographs was a clear and direct violation of international law.

I think it was Senator Rockefeller of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee. Earlier on this thread, I posted my remembrance of a scandal about a memo he wrote to other dems on the committee, planning to selectively declassify sensitive information that could potentially be damaging to the president, and use it against him in the campaign.

Looks to me like that's what's happening now. And the SSIC would have to have know about this, from the beginning.

Moore could have staged all those pictures. George Soros has the money to have HIRED people to pose for them, or to commit acts for photographs.

If they were part of a confidential set of files being used to prosecute those who took part, and the investigation against those who took part is now compromised by the SALE to CBS of those photos--then the guilty soldiers (if there is real guilt) get off scott free.

Think about it.

I didn't even have to wear my tinfoil hat to come up with that.

I hope President Bush uses every resource he has at his disposal to bring every guilty person involved, to JUSTICE.

A former member of the Clinton administration is being linked to a bombshell Senate Intelligence Committee memo outlining a strategy to use information gathered by the committee to help drive President Bush from office in 2004.

In an editorial Friday, the Wall Street Journal reports:

Is Moore going to take the fall for Hillary? I only ask because you've been running around every thread inserting a fat nobody into an important discussion.

Over at DU they're arguing about why Gore lost!!!!!! Now they're blaming it on Leiberman!!!!

LOL! Yeah, THAT'S the problem with the world. Too many halfway decent people clogging up the Democrat ticket.

If those yutzes had half a brain, they'd realize that Joe Lieberman had the best shot of beating Bush of anyone who was running.

You say the report was well known. I don't know how you know that. All I know is when it made the public, when somebody took a secret document out of prosecutorial channels and released it to the press, I do not believe it was yet anywhere in the Pentagon.

The shiv from Rumsfeld.

He's not a man to be toyed with.

Great catch!

I am amazed at Rumsfeld - the absolutely perfect comeback to Ms. steal records and bribe and manipulate it for power over events.

Now I am absolutely sure we see where these pictures came from - the lower levels in the DOD and they were taken from the investigation (wonder how much this cost) or an additional set from those taking the pictures (at what cost?).

Now THAT'S a provocative supposition. I can't find any immediate reason why it could not be true.

Cannes is next week IIRC, so we will see what the press tells us is revealed in his little movie.

By the way, he can also be referret to as "Lumpy Riefenstahl."

Rush and Boortz need to start hammering the hell out of this one begining Monday, May 10, 2004. And if they start hammering away at this, watch just how fast this whole ordeal with the "tortured" Iraqi prisoners vanishes.

He also stated that they had a tough time coming up with the CD of photos for him to view. That is just wrong!

He also kept saying it was a "Criminal" investigation

Would that have been the reason?
