Poland: counterdemonstrators block Gay Pride parade
Warsaw Business Journal ^ | 05/08/2004 | news

Posted on 05/08/2004 6:48:27 AM PDT by Feldkurat_Katz

The Gay and Lesbian Days celebrated in Kraków has aroused heated discussion in the city and somewhat divided local society.

The main bone of contention is today's gay and lesbian demonstration in the Old Town, which according to the organizers is to show gays and lesbians that they do have equal rights. Apart from homosexuals, Amnesty International, various feminist organizations and environmentalists will join the march organized as part of ‘the Culture of Tolerance' festival. However, while gay rights has been accepted as a tenet of modern liberal democracy in the EU for many years, Mlodziez Wszechpolska of the Polish Family League has planned a counter-demonstration and wants to block the gay and lesbian march, supporting his rather reactionary stance with the claim "conservative Kraków is not a place for sexual deviation." (Rzeczpospolita, p.A6) K.J.

(the news has pro-homo spin but it was the only one in English I could find)

This was from May 7th. What actually happened on May 8th was that counterdemonstrators sat on the pavement and blocked the gay march from reaching its final destination. There also was some egg and rock throwing.

Homosexual Agenda Ping + Good NEws From Poland!

These Poles know the score. Remember when they wouldn't let the "abortion ship" land? And there was all kinds of ruckus?

Hmmm - so there was civil disobedience - blocking the "gay" pride parade - and some rock and egg throwing, "No sexual perversion for Krackow".

Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

What's the exact situation with Poland joining the EU? Anyone know?

From what I saw...Krakow has been invaded by more traditional European liberals then th erest of Poland.

I hope they stand up against this illness looking to invade Eaastern Europe too.

It's no coincidence homo activists have chosen Krakow. It's a high-profile conservative city, John Paul II was its archbishop, before he got elected.

They are pursuing the same tactic as in US and Western Europe - first, the want to inure the socity. So far, they "only want tolerance". Once they get it, they'll demand more.

The first session of the enlarged European Parliament took place in Strasbourg yesterday, with 162 deputies from the new member countries, including 54 deputies from Poland, participating.

However, contrary to parliamentary norm, the speeches of deputies from this country were dominated by religious fervor and the need for references to God in the European Constitution. "Europe cannot tear itself away from its Christian roots. If it does, it will gradually die," said Law and Justice deputy Aleksander Szczyg?o. Polish Family League deputies even demanded the presence of their interpretation of God in the parliamentary chamber and tried to hang a crucifix on the wall, which, unsurprisingly, led to protests from the astounded deputies of other countries. (Rzeczpospolita, p. A6) A.F.

My father used to tell us about a pious prophecy that salvation for Europe would come from Poland. I think folks who knew about that thought it would be in the person of the Pope. But now I wonder if it isn't the Polish people themselves. God bless them.

Our Lady of Czestachowa, pray for us.

Actually, Mlodziez Wszechpolska is the youth arm of The League of Polish Families, a conservative Catholic party. Other than this technicality, I agree with you.

Gay pride? How about a gay shame parade?

It could feature themes of shattered lives and variety of diseases and other social ills of a degraded culture, the billions of dollars diverted from medical research for cancer and heart disease wasted because the government and health officials don't have the guts to tell perverts to quit sticking things where they don't belong.

That's an interesting perspective, and one that deserves discussion. Although goodness has flown into the former Soviet Union when the Iron Curtain fell, it's inevitable that there was a reverse flow as well. That's what happens when barriers come down, whether they are physical or cultural. I visited Germany for the second time in 1994.

I could swear that I was behind the Iron Curtain compared to an earlier visit.

Excellent idea. Could be in conjunction with rallies for promoting the natural family and protection of marriage.

BTW, have you read "The Pink Swastika" by Scott Lively and Kevin Abrams? Details the roots of Nazism in general and Hiter and other Nazis in particular. Homosexuality and weird occultist racism were the roots. Polish people should reat that book.

Doesn't matter whether it's supposed to be an "anti-war" protest, or an "anti-globalism" protest, or a "pro-sodomy" protest ... it's always the same rat-pack of unwashed hippies displaying mind-boggling perversity and ranting against all that is good and holy.

You really should read it. It's highly readable (the first time I got it, I stayed up all night to finish it) and very researched, footnoted and so on. Homosexuality was intertwined with the whole Nazi philosophy, and Hitler was likely one himself. So when homosexual radicals call conservatives "Nazis" they're lying again! They are not only like Nazis in technique, but ideas. In fact, one of the founders of ACT-UP, I never can remember his last name - Larry something or other, admitted that he and the others leaders of that radical homosexual organization read "Mein Kampf" for inspiration and ideas on technique.

Here's a website to get it, along with other great resource material (it's also available on Amazon):

Lively's websites have a lot of resources, I have several of the books and pamphlets available, and he does a lot to fight for pro-family causes.

I am a very financially poor person, and Lively's organization is one of the few I donate to. I consider him and his associates on the front lines.
