There is word going around locally that there is an abortion mill in the works for the Killeen (near Fort Hood) area.

Please pray that this never comes about.

I'm bumping you without an intelligent thought to offer. I never know what to say on these threads. This is sad and emotional news and I'll be praying. Is there a pro-life crisis pregnancy center in the area?

About two minutes ago, I JUST got off the phone with a friend who decided to keep her baby down in the Junction, Tx. Praise God.

Thanks. Actually, there are several in the neighboring towns. I never thought we'd have an abortion clinic here in town, but it seems that the one in Austin wants to expand its services.

Well, it's a profit seeking industry and I guess they are going to go where there is a market for abortions. I could see a lot of women in the army being tempted to dispose of an unplanned pregnancy, or a woman dating someone in the army who isn't ready for a baby, etc.

I didn't finish my thought about my friend. Because there wasn't an abortion center in Junction, she was going to go to San Antonio. The distance sort of bought the life in her womb some time. I guess if abortion is going to always be around, the best thing that could happen is have as few centers as possible. Time to consider the consequences is purchased by the distance.

KWIM? Am I wrong?

Ft. Hood is quite the profit center. A lot of young people drinking a lot of booze and doing stupid things. I trust Cove and Belton will fight it tooth and nail. Killeen, itself, would welcome it with open arms. It sort of fits in with the spirit of Killeen, Tx. Downright mean.

Are there any details to the 'word going around'? Or is it just that at this stage...... Are there any other abortion providers in the area?

TxBec,

There is some good news because you have one of the best pro-life groups in Denton, just north of Dallas, Life Dynamics , 940-380-8800. They can get to the facts faster than anyone in your area, and IF it’s true they will help you and your local area pro-life groups & churches engage.

Also there is an outstanding Pro-Life couple, Chris and Sherry Danze in Austin. They lead a boycott last year and stopped construction of a 6+ million dollar mill in Austin. Chris is president of Maldonado and Danze, Inc., in Austin (512) 837-9677. Chris could be a critical factor in this, contact him right away. I believe he has a very powerful association of contractors in the Austin area that could stage a preemptive boycott to stop this.

If you confirm its true you must get the local people informed and engaged. Have them take a virtual tour of NATIONAL AMERICAN HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL and have them see a former abortion mill-holocaust chamber from the inside. Get them to watch the videos to more fully appreciate what evil is going on.

Make contact with those two ASAP and then please freepmail or email me Kevin@CpForLife.org I will help any way I can.

Here's a message I received from a friend who lives in Belton:

""Once upon a time, I half jokingly said, "If I ever surrendered to full time vocational ministry, I want to run a rescue center just outside the gates of hell." Would it not be something to open a Miracle You prenatal life and sexual and reproductive integrity education and consulting ministry office next door to the only free standing abortion facility in Bell County?

Dr. Ted Davis, known abortion provider in two Austin clinics, is opening the Killeen Women's Health Center at the South Point Plaza professional complex at 3106 W.S. Young Drive in Killeen. As it turns out, the unit next door to his future clinic is for rent.

Henry Blackaby teaches that you can know a thing is from God if it is something that only God can do. This is not an everyday opportunity. It offers an extraordinary challenge. Miracle You Ministries needs a bare minimum of $3000.00 a month to operate this facility.

To move in we have to provide a certificate of income showing that we bring in enough to pay the rent and operate a business. The ministry also needs the first and last month's rent to move in. That totals $2600.00.

Would the Lord provide $50.00 a month through 60 people to have a prenatal life and sexual and reproductive integrity education and consulting organization next door to the only free standing abortion facility in Bell County?
Would the Lord provide $25.00 a month through 120 people?
Would the Lord provide $12.50 a month through $240.00?

Please pray about this. I believe it is perhaps one of the most unique opportunities I have ever seen in the fight for prenatal children, their parents, families, and neighbors.
In the Lord Jesus Christ,
S B
Miracle You Ministries"

We already support our local CPC,and a couple of other pro-life groups, but FReepmail me if you want more information about Miracle You Ministries. The woman behind it is a good Christian, and trustworthy.

It is good that the Miracle You Ministries has access next door.

But I must ask if the owner of the building was notified of what kind of "Doctor" was moving in?! Many owners/managers have been persuaded to NOT rent/sell to baby butchers if they know their property will be used for a holocaust.

Others change their minds when they are informed that picketers will be in front of their building AND THEIR HOMES and be a real nuisance.

If y'all have not tried to "reason" with the landlord, please do so--bring him a copy of Hard Truth and tell him innocent blood will be on his hands, and people will be protesting in front of his home, office and building.

And if you haven't please contact the 2 people in # 19 to see if they've been involved.

Best way to fund raise for CPC's: fundraisers at churches using baby bottles as collectors.

http://www.atcmag.com/v4n1/article9.asp

http://www.atcmag.com/v3n1/article6.asp

We are doing it right now. I made the label below, feel free to use or email me for the printer copy and also how to get seed money for the bottles and best source/price for bottles.

Then put this (or some variation) as an insert in the bottle, (you can fit two per page).

The future is in our hands

ACME crisis pregnancy center in YOURTOWN has been assisting women with unplanned pregnancies in the TOWN area since 1984. The center offers guidance and support to any woman with an unplanned, unanticipated or stressful pregnancy. The center offers free services including pregnancy testing, counseling, education, clothing, food, and referrals for medical care, legal aid and social services.

This is the first major fund-raiser organized to help the director realize her dream for the center becoming a limited medical facility, with a sonogram machine and part-time licensed sonographer. Statistics show that a woman who sees her baby on a sonogram is 80+% more likely to carry her baby to term.

Please fill this bottle with your most generous gift so that we can do more to help the little ones and their mothers who are seeking our help for themselves and their unborn babies.

Make your check to ACME Crisis Pregnancy Center, a 501c3 tax-exempt organization. Donations are tax-deductible.

Donations can also be mailed at any time to ACME Crisis Pregnancy Center at ADDRESS 00000000000 Volunteers are always welcome. To learn more about this community resource call 000-1234. Please return this bottle from church you received it next week we will then use it again at another church.

Thanks and God bless you and yours.

"Yes, the owner and property manager knows the purpose of the facility."

Here are suggestions in case y’all haven’t done them.

Find his home address and phone number.
Find out if he attends a church, if so, call the Pastor & Pro-Life groups, get his congregation aware angry and calling him as well as his wife and family—and often.

Print flyers and put on every house in his neighborhood:
”Your neighbor, Joe Shame will be renting his property at 123 xyx to a Known Abortionist/ Serial killer of unborn babies. He is directly cooperating in the mass murder of innocent children. Tell him to please stop and pray for him.”

Tell the businesses all around there, WHO might be moving in, that it will hurt THEIR businesses, and WHO’s renting the space. Ask them to call him. Find out who he does business with, let them know and ask them to stop him. Take a small ad out in the local paper using text on your flyer.

Find out if he’s married. Find out who his relatives are, especially parent or siblings. Ask his wife if she’s aware of what he’s about to do. Ask her if she wants to see those flyers around the neighborhood every week or picketers on her sidewalk, or all their family members to know what he’s doing.

Tell him and his Mrs. their life would be “MUCH” more peaceful if he rented to a non-mass murderer.

Use your imagination to break his willingness to be involved with another holocaust. Force him to rethink his decision.

Comfort the afflicted and AFFLICT the COMFORTABLE.

"...be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves."

The authorities could reasonably call this intimidation and get a jury to buy it. That said, all of the other suggestions are great ideas. Don't be afraid to play hardball, you will save the lives of babies and you may keep this landlord from going straight to Hell.

One last thing: Prepare to be called a lot of nasty names and be threatened with (at the very least) legal action. But it will be worth it!

MiracleYou and everyone reading this: We have to think outside the box in these cases.

Good Point about libs and lawsuits and intimidation. But the wife may be the "last straw on camel's back." You can word it more gently AND bring a tape recorder, Video is even better.

A good friend of mine has stopped several murderers using these very methods.

In one case, the abortionist/murderer lived in a gated community, so he and one other man handed out over 1000 flyers a day to people going in and out and had a sign with the info on it. He put flyers all around where the mill was.
In one month the killer left town.

We are well within our rights to use peaceful tactics to irritate these demons. More than one avenue of contact with this landlord AND his family and business/social circle will give better odds that he'll rent to someone else.

And of course pray.

Please allow me to clarify the purpose of Miracle You Ministries and our position. While I know this is very long, I think in light of the posts, it's necessary to get this out as clearly as I can.

Miracle You Ministries is an educational organization focusing on prenatal life and sexual and reproductive integrity.

Miracle You Ministries focuses on the miracle that is each and every person ever created. We celebrate and nurture the unique person God purposed before parents engaged in the physical intimacy that produced human flesh. Miracle You Ministries focuses on teaching.

Miracle You Learning Programs include:
* fun age engaging age appropriate activities and programs for young children to teach them the wonder of their own lives.
* educational and supportive programs for parents, grand parents, relatives, and teachers of young children, giving them information from experts like James Dobson and the Human Development Resource Council concerning normal sexual development and how to help their child navigate today's society. We are constantly studying new programs.
* Miracle You Ministries strives to provide good information for non sexually active teens and their parents, as well as sexually active teens and their parents.
* -We offer encouragement, useful information on how to get through adolescents with their children. We offer practical information on parenting a child already saturated with sexually destructive ideas, and practical information on getting the child back from the jaws of risky sexual and reproductive.
* -We are a supportive place for hurting kids, hurting parents, hurting grand parents; a place where families can go when someone in the family makes the sexual or reproductive decisions that bring hardship.
* -All our materials are thoroughly documented from proven highly valid medical, scientific, legal, and educational sources.
* -We provide information to legislators working to serve the interests of prenatal children.

We recognize that everyone is at a different place in dealing with the plethora of choices concerning sexuality and reproduction. Because of this, we strive to approach everyone with the same respect, gentle regard, and an extra measure of trust building. We work to provide the most nurturing helpful environment possible. We hope that anyone who needs our educational services will feel safe in doing so.

We know that many persons experience serious problems with sexuality and reproduction. We want to be there to help with well documented, clear non threatening kinds information.

Miracle You Ministries recognized that some people need professional help, thus we have the names and contact information for professional counselors, and programs like Rachel's Vineyard, the Gabriel Project, and Hope Pregnancy Centers. We strive to refer people to others who hold the same care and concern for the people they serve as we do.

In an environment saturated with “pro life” or “pro choice” messages, Miracle You Ministries chooses to view topics involving prenatal life and sexual and reproductive integrity with “pro God” messages.

To protect the integrity of this ministry, we choose to remain autonomous, and without affiliation to any group except the body of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We agree with the view stated by Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health Editor, Stuart Donnan, “One needs to have a view which might be called `pro information’ without excessive paternalistic censorship (or interpretation) of the data.”

Prayerfully Submitted
SB

The explosive issue of abortion is about to get a lot more heated. NBC 6 news has learned that a second abortion provider is about to open in Central Texas.

Right now, there's only one place women can get an abortion in Central Texas, Planned Parenthood in Waco. But now, a new private abortion provider is planning to open in Killeen.

The Killeen Women's Health Center will locate in a building off W.S. Young Drive. They're already advertising in both the Killeen and Temple phone books, including "military discounts" on abortion procedures.

The clinic's owners in Austin wouldn't answer any of our questions and Planned Parenthood refused comment, too. But the property manager who sold them the building expects the clinic to open within the next month.

Organizations that oppose abortion are already mobilizing against the new clinic. Molly White runs a ministry that counsels women. She says we may see protests in the coming weeks. White says she may even bring pro-life activists from around the country to town. She's holding an organizational meeting next Tuesday.

an update:
(excerpt)

In an often emotional public hearing that continued two hours past its scheduled conclusion, an overwhelming majority of area residents at City Hall Tuesday night announced their opposition to a proposed abortion clinic in Killeen.

By a rough tally taken during the hearing, 347 of those present opposed the clinic's opening, while only three voiced their support. A small number of people at the hearing did not participate in the survey.

Many local residents first learned of the Killeen Women's Health Center when a half-page ad appeared in the most recent Sprint telephone book.

According to the ad, the Killeen Women's Health Center will be located at 3106 S. W.S. Young Drive. The center will provide abortions, the abortion pill, gynecological services and pregnancy testing as well as other services. The center would be the first to offer abortions between Austin and Waco.

Mayor Maureen Jouett called the hearing late last week after news of the clinic became widespread. The agenda item called for discussion on regulations dealing with the location of abortion clinics.

In a presentation early in the meeting, City Attorney Kathy Davis outlined federal and state laws regarding abortion clinics and gave an overview of the city's legal options for local ordinances.

While federal law makes abortion legal, states have leeway in regulating the industry, Davis said, adding that Texas has several regulations and standards in place.

Davis said municipalities have limited, if any, legal authority to regulate abortion clinics beyond zoning. She said that view was shared widely in the legal community as well as representatives at the Texas and national Right to Life groups.

"There is nothing in the state law that says you can treat abortion clinics different than any other medical facility," Davis told the council.

Any regulations that the city might impose would be a "test case," Davis said. She could not estimate the cost of defending such regulations.

"The question at some point that the council may or may not be faced with is, 'Do we want to be that test case,'" said Councilman Dick Young.

Several area residents who participated in the public forum encouraged the council to test the uncharted waters by passing ordinances that would in some way prohibit or restrict the operation of an abortion clinic in Killeen.
