The situation is further complicated in the Levant by the fact that well over 1,000 years after many of them lived and died, Islam has hijacked religious figures from other religions (mainly Judaism).

This drives me crazy!

Let's also add that in addition to stealing sites and people, Islam also makes it up as it goes along. For example, the "prophet's" supposed magical mystery tour is widely acccepted by Muslims as having Mad Mo touching down in Jerusalem, while there is no mention of Jerusalem made in the koran.
