It is too bad that those politicans don't pay any attention to letters like this. Our great Senator Harkin is among those of whom this letter speaks.

A father angry at America's pundits and pols who misreport the war, misrepresent our entire honorable military - further endanger his courageous, beloved son - daily.
An open letter to some political partisans, especially certain politicians and people in the media: I have a son who is an American soldier in Iraq.
I care very much about what affects him and his comrades in arms.
I am not fooled, when you partisans spew propaganda that helps our enemies and harms our soldiers, then tell us you support our troops.

Maybe if some of our more vocal dim congress critters got enough copies of this letter they might have to read it. I'm talking actual snail mail, not e-mails.

I agree 100% with this person. I understand that the right of free speech is important in a free country, but one cannot yell "Fire" in a crowded theater.
Many of the politicians that oppose President Bush are giving aid and comfort to the enemy. By their speech (and in some cases their actions) they are directly encouraging the enemy to kill American service personnel.
They are also encouraging the enemy to hang on at any cost - at least until the election.
They also encourage the enemy with the idea that they may be able to commit some horrible terrorist act which will sway the US election (think Spain here).
I think that the Department of Justice should prosecute when appropriate.

I find that reporters and politicians sometimes 'listen' to us when they see names of their opposition peers in the "To:" box, and are informed that we are sharing the news with neighbors and friends.

Wow, what a great letter. Democrats get so defensive and mad when their patriotism is questioned. Democrats somehow confuse criticsim with 'censorship'. Certainly Democrats are free to spew their anti-American rhetoric, but be expected to get called on it. Afterall, this is America and we are free to speak also.

...this is America and we are free to speak also. Amen.

I love this letter because it reflects my feelings. I'm also saddened that it needs to be said. I've been having fits over the diminished sense of true patriotism in our country. Thanks for the post.

Send this important letter via e-mail to Senator John Warner:
(fill out the requested please and freep this office)
Senator Warner
Address:
225 Russell Building
Washington, D.C. 20510
Telephone:

Here is the full membership of the Committee on Armed Services - Let Byrd, Clinton, Kennedy etc. know that Americans know they are supporting and aiding the enemy with their partisian battle for the White House. They should leave this committee to others who will support our Troops and our President in a time of War.
(members)
Freep the Heck out of them and let them know we've had it with their reckless, rabid anti-American rhetoric. That Secretary of Defense Don Rumsfeld, unlike them, is a straight shooter and a man of integrity who is watching out for America and Americans, militarily and otherwise.

And many of the rest of us will add a hearty AMEN to that. We're all sick of this! I wish to God that the liberal media would fall into a sink hole somewhere and disappear!

Well written, thoughts that this father of two military twins mirrors. Everytime I hear one of these partisans in Washington say "I support the troops" I cringe by their actions. I guess mothers of democrats never told them when they were kids that 'actions speek louder than words!"
God bless our troops!!

Very true. I keep prying that harkin will be voted out of office but it never happens. I do not like having him as a senator.
