Hollywood has decided that the perfect choice to play the very British, chain smoking John Constantine (Hellblazer) is none other than... Keanu Reeves.

That could start a war.

"Um, dude, we need to, like, um, do a spell, or....somethin'..."

I think Jude Law would be a good Constantine.

Hey, I forgot to ask, have you seen The Adventures of Seinfield and Superman?

To me the best comic adaptations are on Cartoon Network. The Justice League is well written with complex characters (go Hawkgirl!) They’ve scaled back Superman’s powers (he can’t operate in space with out a space suit) and upped the tension between Superman and Batman. But they’ve saved the best writing for Hawkgirl.

You are correct that Justice League is very well done. mhking pointed out to me not long ago that a new series is coming out in the fall too, that will be just like Justice League but will include tons more cameos from the rest of the DC Universe. The ad for it included shots of Etrigan, Zatanna, Dr. Fate, Supergirl, even Orion (of Darkseid fame) - looks pretty awesome!

By the way, good catch - bizarre that I actually watched episodes with Superman wearing a spacesuit and it never set off alarm bells in my head - that -is- a pretty huge scaling back of his powers! On the other hand, the episode I saw that in (had to do with Green Lantern being on trial and Flash as his rather incompetent lawyer, great episode) wasn't around Earth, so you could still make a case that he -could- operate in space -if- he was still around a yellow sun (something that actually always bothered me as very inconsistent in the old days - around Earth, sure, but how the heck did he maintain his powers in deep space far from any yellow sun?). Have they shown him in a spacesuit orbiting Earth too?

There was a great ep where Superman was accidentally sent into a future where Vandal Savage had turned the sun red and destroyed humanity. It was great to see the League cope without Superman and Superman cope without his powers.

I greatly look forward to the next season.
