This man deserves our prayers and our sympathy, and a quiet disregard for whatever politics he interjects.

Ditto. Just being a Leftist certainly doesn't make him deserving of this. Let's lay off the guy.

Right. I hope I never detest a President so deeply and irrationally as these people do President Bush.

Exactly! And while they're busy blaming America for all this Arab anger and hatred, they refuse to acknowledge that much of this hatred and anger is a product of their very own progressive ideals...that Muslims fear would infect their society. There is something seriously sick with these leftist, who in essence, are defending the most conservative ideology on the planet...that would destroy them and their ideals in a heartbeat.

To paraphrase Churchill: "Faced with the choice between shame and war, some chose shame. They will get war anyway."

That is the lesson for our day.

It seems that most DUmmies think only Americans can be guilty of evil deeds. They side with those who would kill them in a heartbeat.

The US is the chief proponent and practitioner of a socio-economic system that rewards winners and punishes losers. Its fundamental precepts include individual liberty, private property and the rule of law.

However, if one views the system as inherently immoral and unjust, and oppresses and exploits a wide range of 'victims' throughout the world, then a complete logical basis can be built from that perspective.

Hating the US and embracing our enemies who also happen to hate the US is perfectly logical to those that think in this fashion. To think that they are a small minority is a mistake - the Dems to varying degrees all represent this POV.

Is it posible to have a cease and desist on ALL smartass comments on this and any other thread when someone gets killed?

I second. It makes me sick when the Libs act gleeful and vindicated when people die. We're better than that.

What's this about Hackworth? I've disliked the guy since before his rise to fame on the 24-hour news shows, but I haven't heard the latest. He have something to do with the pictures being released?

He sure did.

FBI agents visited Berg's parents in West Chester on March 31 and told the family they were trying to confirm their son's identity. On April 5, the Bergs filed suit in federal court in Philadelphia, contending that their son was being held illegally by the U.S. military. The next day Berg was released. He told his parents he hadn't been mistreated.

Michael Berg said he blamed the U.S. government for creating circumstances that led to his son's death. He said if his son hadn't been detained for so long, he might have been able to leave the country before the violence worsened.

Michael Berg, left, collapses to the ground in front of their house in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and is comforted by his son, David.

It looks to me like he was released on April 6th.

I'm telling you.........the press and the anti-war movement in this Country will spin "If we never went over there, this would never have happened." Mark my words.

This further inflames those of us that realize that the terrorists have to be stopped. But I fear this will just be more fuel for fire to the anti-war idiots AND the libs!

And, like a typical anti-war type, Berg blames the Bush Admin instead of the Islamifascists who killed his son. And that's why the Islamifascists think they can win this war - because there are so many like Berg who will blame everyone but the terrorists.

Okay. So he was released on April 9th. What happened between April 9th and May 6th? (May whatever). Where was he then?
