I said EXACTLY the same thing when I heard the news; glad to know that I'm not the only one!

My boss had a subscription to the NY Times; I always grab it when he's done reading it, and for the past couple of weeks, I've been working myself up to a slow boil.
My position is as follows:

If any Iraqi prisoner was sexually abused, whomever is responsible should be severely punished. I don't care how bad the prisoners are, sexual abuse is inexcusable. That being said, i don't think that stripping a guy naked and putting a leash on him is quite the same as beheading a helpless civilian. I'm furious with the media for blowing the actions of a few so far out of proportion, while ignoring the REAL atrocities. You were "humiliated"? Too damned bad- at least you're not being fed feet first thru a plastic shredder or watching your wife and daughter being raped and killed or being shot and burned and hung from a bridge. Where is the outcry on the part of the media over the poor woman and her 4 kids that were murdered just a few weeks ago? The media has exercised "selective outrage", and they've just served to throw gasoline on the fire. Great...thanks a lot, guys.

Watching the politicians wring hands and moan over the new video or photo's of American military misbehaving in the Iraq prison was interesting. The MTV generation, Sex in the City and a host of other mind pollution programs is not showing up in our youth? It sure is and the soldiers having sex on film is proof of the decay. Senator Campbell wants to know how these people got into the military? Did he ask that when the Muslim rolled a grenade into his fellow soldiers tent and killed and wounded his own people? Ask the hard questions senator. Ask how the recruiters can keep their numbers up by bringing in nitwits and social cast aways. Do a better job of filtering the recruits.

Well it has happened. The past week dangerously irresponsbile demagogary by the Democrat Party leadership, egged on by the DNC directed "News" Media's hyperventilation over the Iraqi Prisoner abuse, has now lead to the barbaric execution of an American Hostage in Iraq. The current political grandstanding by Democratic Party leaders, cheerlead by the "mainstream news media", is directly responsible for this death. The Democrat Senate Leaders are an embarassment to their States, their Offices and themselves.

Hezbolah uncharacteristically came out against the beheading of Nick Berg. Not only did they find it abhorent (hard to believe) but they felt it was goign to take the focus off the prisoner scandal and focus it on the Islamic fanatics.

Kennedy and Kerry and the entire liberal establishment could say and do anything and it wouldnt have any impact on Al Qaeda.
