"Under New Management": Will no one hold Ted Kennedy accountable for his slander of the military?

On Monday, Ted Kennedy took to the floor of the United States Senate and made this statement: "Shamefully we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management, U.S. management."
Kennedy, of course, is the alter ego of John Kerry, and is his principal backer and original sherpa to power in Washington. When Kerry's campaign was foundering, Kennedy dispatched his own chief-of-staff, Mary Beth Cahill, to stabilize and reorganize it. Kennedy has spared no effort on Kerry's behalf because Kerry is Kennedy's last chance for power on the national stage.
Given Kennedy's closeness to Kerry and his inevitable prominence in a Kerry administration, it was surprising that of the country's major newspapers, only the New York Post quoted the senior senator's descent into near-madness in Monday's speech.

Except for Hannity I haven't heard this mentioned at all...
McCain tonite on H&C wouldn't go as far as Sean was trying to get him to go in condeming what "Scuba Scotty" said...he did at least say that the comments were out of line.
If there's any Senate imposed sanctions that could be slammed on ole Teddy boy...it should be done!!

I was seriously enraged when I heard this blowhard a--hole today. Why, oh why, won't someone in the Senate refer to him as "Chappaquiddick Ted", or something similar. The only benefit is that independents, historically, get really turned off by this kind of partisan rancor. I read earlier today that the behavior of the DemoRats over the past few months has been nothing more than an extended Paul Wellstone Memorial. Looks correct.

I'm incredulous that The Great Untouchable, this pompous pickled blowhard, this unindicted reckless (wo)manslaughterer, this widely known and well-publicized sexual harrasser, has as much chance of being brought down as the Berlin Wall going back up.

"Shamefully we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management, U.S. management." - The fat, drunk, murderer
Amazing. This is one of the most offensive (and inaccurate) things I've ever heard a politician utter, and not only does he skate by without so much as a reprimand, but the media barely even mentions it.
Yet Trent Lott gets excoriated for joking around with ole Strom at a party.

Term limits. or repeal the 17th amendment.

[McCain] did at least say that the comments were out of line."Out of line" is RINO code for "no big deal." Why doesn't this jerk get it over with and join the Dark Side, so that he at least won't be attributed with a Republican viewpoint on these shows.
Of course the Swimmer has a "free to be an idiot for life" pass because he has the golden last name. We will just have to live with that. Eventually, history will turn him into an asterisk, no doubt.

"...we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management, U.S. management." Ted is right.
The most visible sign of this being the fact that those accused will stand for trial, and if found guilty, punished for their crimes.
Somehow, some pretty sick people got into our Armed Forces and did some truly despicable things to other people in Abu Ghraib. Sometimes they get elected to the Senate, and do some truly despicable things to people here.
Bush apologized for these incidents a whole lot faster than Teddy has to the Kopechnes.
And his administration will bring to justice those guilty of committing crimes a whole lot faster than the one in place the day that Mary Jo and Kennedy fell off the Chappaquiddick bridge...
~~~(a little Bobbie Gentry for those who're still awake out there)~~~
Teddy can watch this administration, the new managers of Saddam's prisons, do to these soldiers what should have been done to him all those years ago.
Luis there are a couple of ways to look at this. IF what we have seen in those pictures is just 7 sickos getting their rocks off then YES hang them high. However; IF this was part of a planned interrogation to get battlefield intelligence from recent captives then it takes on a completely different complexion. It is not pretty and it assaults the senses BUT I want to have the trials before I make my final decision. Right now I am leaning to the view that this was a bunch of un-disciplined and un-supervised sickos.
We are dealing with murderous thugs who will slit your family's throats in the night.
They hate us for being us, and are plotting right now to murder us.
Protecting their rights while they chop off heads is beyond ludicrous - it emboldens our enemies and exposes us to further attack.
The stupidity of Liberals never fails to amaze.
"However; IF this was part of a planned interrogation to get battlefield intelligence from recent captives then it takes on a completely different complexion." Had the Bush administration begun conducting interrogations of Muslims in the US weeks after George's inauguration, AND we had seen photos like these come out, Bush would have been impeached, and the lawsuits from Muhammad Atta and his colleagues, with legal representation provided by the ACLU, would have been immense.
If we could somehow know that prisoners being treated like they were treated in these pictures would have stopped 9/11 from happening...how would we feel about them?
In Abu Ghraib, there are people who have conspired to kill innocent men, women, and children.
I'm having a hard time feeling compassion for them.
