I remember a similar (though reversed) sense of disorientation when I a friend lent me the original version back in '93 or '94: as an historian, I was very familiar with Schlesinger, Jr.'s role as main apologist for the FDR regime and his ohter paens to the liberal democrats running back to his book on Jackson. I thought it was most heartening to read the book.

BIG BIG BUMP! "Multliculturalism" is simply a clever leftist attempt to further its agenda of belittling and destroying traditional American culture by offering a handy, subliminal replacement for it.
See, America is really only a "melting pot" of wonderful and unique cultures from around the world - - there really is no true "American culture" (and even if there is an "American culture", it is only the weak and inferior bastard of all the wonderful real cultures from around the world).

Putting the media in its place is a good strategy for putting this nation back on track.

Bobby sure is awesome. I was more concerned with him winning the Governorship, than I was with Bush and the Presidency.
He is the type of guy who knows how to play the political game and speak to his constituents directly. I remember when he was debating KKT, the Kennedy "witch" at an NAACP sponsored event and she was screeching at him and he just turned to the cameras and said, "It this what you really want" to all of the Marylanders sitting at home. It was classic.

Good for the gov. PC is pure crap.

All true. However, Baltimore is a third-world cesspoll. The school system has virtually collapsed, the crime rate is up, the drinking water is bad. You name something wrong with a metro area and Baltimore has it. I worry more about Doug Duncan than O'Malley.

You better hold it if you find yourself downwind of Back River!
God bless Bobby Ehrlich! He has been sticking with his statement, not trying to explain it away as some kind of misunderstanding.

I always believed in the Melting Pot concept of America as a badge of honor.
When, I wonder, did it change?

Now that I found the link to the Twelve Tablets of Law, I am intrigued even more by your statement. Do you believe any of the "ideals" originating in the Roman Republic, re: Twelve Tablets of the Law, have been distorted immeasureably, or to our greater detriment politically?
