Heres the problem, we are winning in Iraq and it will soon be evident to the world. The media wants the public to believe we are losing. Its sad that the media is so evil it is trying to turn a victory into a defeat.

But he was the closest of all the pollsters in 2000.

And he blew 2002 and the 2004 Rat primaries as bad, if not worse, than Rasmussen blew 2000.

I firmly believe that the time perceptions of many Americans have been altered by TV.

Many of them probably think that WWII lasted as long as a mini-series, and only involved them a couple of hours each night.

They seem to act like anything that extends past the length of a reality TV series is too long.

I also think that too many people are allowing the press and the jackles to win...to beat them down. Look at how many people on FR have become demoralized in the last couple of weeks...and look at how brazened the anti-Bush crowd has gotten.

There is only one enemy that can defeat our troops in Iraq...the liberal left and their willing allies. The troops aren't letting us down, will we let them down?

He's blown it since then, and ya
know what, he was undercutting Bush's support by understating it
'til riiiiight on election eve -
when he knew his reputation was
at stake. He is a snake. But who
cares - he makes good downer stuff
for you to cite against Bush.

If Bush gets out and gives speeches like the one he gave today he should lock it in.

Oh, so very true !!!

I have been saying for years that the leftist media is the worst enemy we could ever have. They do nothing but propagandize and have succeeded in brainwashing a lazy bunch of people.

I mentioned this yesterday. But my sister was polled, and she said the questions were designed such that even though she supports Bush and will vote for him, she knew some of her answers would reflect against him in the polls. So she refused to be polled. (I can't remember which polling company it was.)

It's not just the left and their media friends, it is also the enemy within the so-called conservative ranks. Look at how many people on FR are unendingly attack the President at every opportunity, and those who do nothing but spread doom and gloom. They are the enemy within our own ranks.

LOLOL...Zogby is deluding himself......I remember well the dirty deal he gave Golisano in his governor's run in NY.

All the while producing polls showing Golisano was right up there in the polls.

Perfect example of what I was talking about in my previous post.

Most alarming to the strategists running Mr Bush's campaign is that 54 per cent of the 1,000-plus likely voters surveyed by Zogby this week said they thought the country was heading in the wrong direction.

Now what does that question mean?

Some conservatives who will obviously vote for Bush think the country is headed in the wrong direction. Some think we're not being tough enough in Iraq. Some think our resolve is softening, and that to me is definitely heading in the wrong direction.

Ambiguous poll questions can be manipulated to mean whatever the pollster wants them to mean.

In 2002, Zogby projected our own Colorado Senator Allard to lose. He was wayyyy off.

Ten years or so ago when he was an unknown, he made his name/reputation by doing a good job of concentrating on the "likely voters" instead of "all voters" and was much more accurate than a lot of his established competitors.

But now that he's famous, he no longer has to worry about accuracy to make a name for himself. He now has the luxury of taking sides in the political debate and doing "push polls" instead of accurate polls. He will be a darling of the media every time he predicts disaster for the GOP, regardless of how inaccurate it is.

Wildly inaccurate polls can demoralize a lot of the grassroots who are working for the side that's in the target hairs of a partisan pollster. So they can be self-fulfilling to some limited extent.

Note I'm not accusing Zogby of this. I'm suggesting it as a possible explanation.

He may have been the closest in 2000. But in 2002, if my memory is correct, he was way, way off in many states - not just here in Colorado.

Don't forget that Zogby has predicted a Kerry win. He's got an interest in shading his polls toward Kerry. And what is he going to do when Kerry has to speak publicly and he really tanks?

Dude, that's the Rats that come to play here. They just look like FR's. When we catch them we should treat them as "enemy combatants", and not subject to the Geneva Convention.

Just don't humiliate them...we wouldn't want to start another war crimes flap.

(They do a good enough job on their own.)

I was asked - responded and was asked again.

I doubt it matters - they throw out what they don't want anyway.
