Bill thanks for the report pictures and sound. Makes me fell I was there. Oh wait, I was. Thanks for reminding me about all the fun we had. 'til next time.
Weren't you the guy in the pink pin stripe?
Most Excellent After-Action Report and Photos!!!!!
All of you did a fantastic job routing the lefties! Wish I could have been there with you. Thanks for sharing the experience so well with this report.
Good job as always!!!
Once again, DC Freepers are truly awesome!
And you tell the leftists: YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN THE BROWN ACID AT WOODSTOCK! :)
See you next time!
You guys are heros to us! Great job!
You guys are heros to us! Great job!
No, the pink panties and yes, they were in a bunch.
Bump, excellent job!
Thanks for your kind words. However, the true heros are in U.S. military uniforms in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere, in the CIA, in the FBI and other law enforcement, and others serving the country.
Rumsfeld is certainly a hero to me. He doesn't need the job, but does it out of loyalty to the country. And, instead of thanking him for helping win two wars and liberating two countries with over 40 million people, the liberal media and many in Congress attack him daily.
You aren't the thong type.
I'm sorry to see that Rumsfeld's house is right on the street, and he has to put up with people practically looking in his windows. It doesn't seem secure for a man who is a target of terrorists.
How do protestors find out where he lives?
I don't know.
It's easy to find addresses for most people on the internet by using free searches.
For some harder to find people (usually means those with unlisted phone numbers), you can pay about $20 and a more comprehensive search will get you the info.
Still, I would hope that top civilian government officials (DOD, CIA, FBI, etc.) and top generals and admirals would be a lot harder to find.
Seems like there should be some way for these officials to title their houses in the name of a pseudonym so that terrorists and their allies ("peace" protestors) couldn't find them so easily.
Maybe that's what is done, but some neighbors, sellers of the property, realtors, or others in the transaction blow the anonymity? Maybe they do so because they're liberal or more likely just out of excitement (e.g., "you're never guess who my new neighbor is! Secretary of Secret Projects, Fearless Leader himself" (see photo below).
Now that I've seen your pictures, I'm concerned for Rumsfeld's safety. IMO, he should move to a fenced in estate surrounded by guards and lights.
To all the DC Freepers there, great job. Proud of you.
Thanks guys for replying. I did not have any problem at all over you guys counter protesting these crazy leftists in front of Rummy's house. I was just very curious over whether the government provided official residence to cabinet secretaries; I was curious because I wondered how did the leftist know it was Rummy's house then? For that matter, how did you guys find out it was Rummy's house?
I share your concern, although he clearly has very professional security in a pretty secure neighborhood. I should emphasize that FReepers only found out Rumsfeld's address from the left's announcement of their plan to protest there.
I also repeat that it's just bad form to protest at somebody's personal, non-official residence unless the object of the protest is hosting an event that is being protested such as a fundraiser bringing outsiders to the neighborhood.
A different organization of leftists went to Karl Rove's personal residence about a month ago. They trespassed in his yard and surrounded his house with people banging on the windows. Rove was home, as were his children.
Police arrived and moved back the leftists. It was an ugly scene that should have had dozens arrested, but DC juries likely would have nullified the law and let the trespassers go. I don't think that the police arrested the window-banging trespassers.
See my #75 and #79 above.
