A guy with a skateboard, who appeared to be a recon guy for the leftists, stood on our side of the street about 25 feet from us. As I videotaped some of the arriving leftists, skateboard guy had his video camera on me and my camera focused on him. Until he "blinked" and turned his camera away from me, we had several seconds of a video standoff from 25 feet.

Just curious here: Is this Rummy's own personal, private house? Or is this a government house provided to every sec of def the same way the white house is provided to every president?

Jimmy Valentine's brother has correctly answered your question: it is Rumsfeld's own house.

I must add that the DC Chapter has a policy against demonstrating a person outside a person's house, as the leftists are doing here. Two exceptions to the policy:
(1)Official residences (e.g., White House and Vice President's Official residence) and
(2)protesting a fundraiser at the site of the fundraiser, even if it is a personal residence (e.g., DC Chapter protests outside Hillary's mansion during a fundraiser at the mansion). This makes sense because neighbors have got the fundraiser guests in the neighborhood anyway.

Thanks. Many of the chants had been thought up in advance such as Jimmy Valentine's brother's great GIVE RUMMY A RAISE chant.

However, I was struck by how fast Bmwcyle responded to the NO BLOOD FOR OIL chant of the left. Almost immediately, he had the perfect and spontaneous way to respond, taking into account the French Embassy opposite Rumsfeld's house. He shouted: YOU'RE FACING THE WRONG WAY! YOU SHOULD BE FACING THE FRENCH EMBASSY WITH THAT CHANT!
