The secret to attaining victory is to drop the standards to where defeat becomes victory. Nobody said we had to have unconditional surrender. Freedom and democracy was the criteria. The Fallujans exercised their move toward democracy by a majority wanting the Marines out and now they have freedom.

It was an example of our generocity to provide weapons and uniforms to the militia that took over. We missed the boat in WW II when we failed to equip the SS and Wehrmacht with spanking new uniforms. Think how much better they would have loved us if we had just been more PC. We were warned that the War on Terror would be unlike any we had ever seen. The doubting thomases are now starting to see the light.

"The secret to attaining victory is to drop the standards to where defeat becomes victory."

This is a trick the enemy has learned quite well.

We go in, kill 800 of them, and they declare victory when we dont take the whole town with it and instead decide to let Iraqis patrol what remains.

alSadr has declared victory too. I forget if it was before or after we killed 100 of his guys in one day.

I have to admit, we fight wars better but they've got the leg up on lying on TV.
