In response to the revolting efforts by the liberal news media to undermine the War in Iraq and the constant attacks on our Commander in Chief, our military, and the War on Terror by left-wing politicians, Republican Howard Kaloogian has launched a national organization, Move America Forward which aims to bring together millions of Americans who believe we must prevail in the War on Terror for the security of our nation.
Here's an excerpt of a message the group sent out announcing their launch:
If you are as disgusted with the constant America-bashing by some disgraceful politicians and self-indulgent media types as I am, then please join the national campaign to support our courageous troops and our embattled President in their efforts to successfully wage this vital war against terrorism.

Sadly, there are those in this nation who are so focused on discrediting the Bush administration and advancing their misguided liberal agenda that they relentlessly oppose our nation’s efforts to beat back the terrorist threat in a knee-jerk “blame America first” frenzy. Those who oppose the War on Terror have the mouthpiece of the mainstream media to disseminate their propaganda to the entire nation in an almost unchallenged effort.
The press has been shameless in their “Blame America First” mantra. For every improper act committed by an American soldier, there are tens of thousands of positive developments that have taken place in Afghanistan and Iraq each day. Can you recall the last time any of the major networks chose to report on any of the positive developments in Iraq or Afghanistan?
And it’s not just the news that the media elites are using to spread their propaganda to the public. The brazenly liberal entertainment media have now taken to peppering sitcoms and drama programs with constant attacks on the War on Terror. The Hollywood crowd is now engaged in the act of convincing themselves of the fantasy they put on television and movie screens.
The more these individuals spew their propaganda and lies without being refuted or challenged; the more Americans will slowly begin to accept their vision and their arguments as fact. People accept lies that are continuously repeated and that go unchallenged over time. Perception becomes reality. We cannot afford to let that happen at this critical time in our nation’s history.

We cannot allow those who ‘Blame America’ for the world’s ills to prevail.
The stakes are too high.
The terrorists have made their intention clear – to eradicate the Western ideals that America stands for. There can be no surrender on our part. This is not about a war in a distant land; it is about a war that will be on our shores again if we don’t prevail.
The “Blame America First” crowd underestimates the convictions and determination of the American people to rise to the occasion when the need arises. But no one wants to stand up alone, and right now it seems like a lonely place to be a vocal supporter of the War on Terrorism, our military and our president. We have to demonstrate that most Americans stand with us; they support the men and women who are in harms way to protect our freedom and way of life.

Howard Kaloogian is a name known to many California Freepers... he was a Republican State Legislator for six years, Chairman of the historic Recall Gray Davis Committee, Chairman of the Defend Reagan Committee and ran for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in California receiving more than 250,000 votes and coming in 3rd in a 10-person primary after joining the race at the last minute (to ensure a conservative candidate was in the race).
Vice Chairs of the Move America Forward Committee are the host of the #1 drive time radio show in San Francisco, Melanie Morgan of KSFO AM 560 and Lew Uhler - Chairman of the National Tax Limitation Committee.
I can't fathom how some in this country are so desperate to advance their liberal political concerns and desires to win the White House that they would sacrifice the security and lives of millions of Americans.

The liberal media,the alphabets,NYT,WaPo,etc., bombard us with extraneous stories, Karpinski, prisoner abuse, Chalabi, weddings,etc. We are in a war that must be won. We have to prosecute it with all our resources and focus our attention on winning. For if we lose nothing else will matter.

We have A LOT of work to do and very little time to do it.
We are in serious danger of losing a majority of public support - permanently - for a sustained war against terrorism and if we do then we will quite possibly also see the election of an extremely weak and apologetic (and pathetic) leader in John Kerry.

The grassroots component needs to be a daily effort. That is why I named mine Operation Homefront. I believe that the American people want to help in some way. We need to give them a tangible and significant mission and not only rallies.
Vice Chair of Move America Forward, Melanie Morgan of KSFO 560 AM, has thousands of listeners sending toiletries and other items to the troops as we speak.
But we need to do a lot more than be supportive of our troops - that can only be one element. The reason I say that is that we are in real danger of having the entire War on Terrorism end due to media propaganda and simultaneously seeing John Kerry elected with a "let the UN fight the terrorists" approach.
If we do that then it won't matter what we've sent to the troops.
Right now we have a public relations war in America almost as important as the one our brave men and women are fighting in many places around the world.
That make sense? I think we're on the same page - the words used by myself in my post or by the organization in their material might have sounded dismissive of constant engagement of the people in direct ways to help support the effort... but if that was the case it was not intended.

Howard Kaloogian is okay by me!
There is no doubt that their cause is a good one. But, the lack of any mention of specifics, of what they intend to do, to further their aim, leaves me to wonder if my support for those aims might be better served elsewhere. I would like to know more, before I get too involved.
Does the organization employ lobbyists? Do they have a speaker's bureau? Do the have an outlet for their news, other than their web site? Several of the names of the key people in the organization are familiar to me, but nothing on the site or in this release tells me what they will do different than any of the many other similar conservative organizations. In particular, I would like to know why I should divert my support from some of the other conservative organizations, who are fighting this same fight, to lend some of that support to them. I'm not saying that they don't deserve it. They just have not shown me anything yet, to indicate that shifting some of my support would be beneficial.

Because California (where this is based and focussed) is a hot bed of the underminers. Because Melanie Morgan has a very successful track record in terms of promoting Conservative causes in spite of the Arch-Marxists here - examples = repealing a gas tax, repealing vehicle license tax adders, stopping MTBE formulated gas, etc. That's why.....

Because we did not take the bait, because we so clearly were not the staggering, drunken, imbecile Giant we are accused of being by our European betters, we denied the Syrians and the Iranians the general, nation-wide uprising they so dearly wanted. Idiots. We vote in November. They played their hand now. Kerry and Bush are in a dead heat after eight weeks of unrelenting catastrophe for Bush. And there is such a thing as catastrophe fatigue.
Do you think the media will ever figure it out? I would think they should be able to see that all their garbage is just that. If I was you, I'd post an excerpt from the article with a "Caution, offensive language" warning.
