Kennedy Mocks Kerry; Daley Tells Kerry to Stop the Hatred
NewsMax ^ | 5-26-04

You know that Sen. John Kerry is in trouble when even his close ally Sen. Teddy Kennedy is ridiculing him.

Democrats are so furious over Kerry's waffling about whether to delay accepting the party's presidential nomination that "Kennedy privately mocked Kerry at a party fund-raising event this week for failing to consult him, pretending to take orders from the junior senator over the phone," the Boston Herald reported today.

Massachusetts' senior U.S. senator pretended to be on the phone with his protege and said, "Yes, John. Whatever you say, John," one eyewitness revealed.

One prominent Democrat lawmaker told the Herald: "People are kicking the [expletive] out of Kerry over this. I can't find anybody who thinks this is a good idea."

Daley to Kerry: Stop the Hatred

And you know Kerry is in trouble when a hard-core Democrat pol tells him to stop being so hateful and disrespectful.

Earlier in the presidential campaign, Kerry made a comment to some union employees that the Bush administration was a bunch of corrupt liars.

Oops! He's done it again.

Kerry, in what he supposedly thought was an off-the-record conversation with reporters, said after President Bush's fall from his bike last weekend, "Did the training wheels fall off?"

Five-term Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, who had a similar injury years ago, jabbed Kerry for his sneering attitude toward the president.

Daley reminded his party's nominee-to-be: "When someone falls ... you should not wish ill upon anyone. It's not right. ... You just don't do that. Let's have some respect for one another."

President Bush, of course, made no ugly comments after Kerry recently suffered falls while bicycling and while snowboarding.

"To Daley, Kerry's remark symbolized a hate-filled brand of politics the mayor has long despised," the Chicago Sun-Times reported today.

Hizzoner said: "The thing I worry about in politics is all of these people hating one another: 'I hate Kerry', 'I hate Bush.' I wish the former presidents - Carter and Ford and Clinton and Bush - would all get up and tell people, 'You may support candidates, but don't hate the other candidate.'

"You see too much hate. And I'll tell you one thing - hate will turn on people. ... When hate gets in politics, it's a very, very dangerous aspect."

No word as yet on whether Democrats around the country, including the hateful members of groups such as Moveon.org, have hung their heads in shame.

Kerry is Kennedy's only hope of ever being President.

Have you seen the paint job on his new airplane?

If the paint job was paid for by his wife, then this would be a violation of campaign finance laws. The paint job on that plane probably cost about $10,000 which would be about $8,000 more than his wife would be allowed to contribute legally.

I seriously doubt Kerry used any campaign funds to paint the plane. So how did it get painted?

Where are McCain and Feingold when you need them?

Oh no! I am getting bids on repainting an A-36 Bonanza (six place single engine airplane) and they are coming in higher than 10K - without any lettering.

I think thats becomming clear to even the most myopic among our liberal friends and neighbors.

Kerry's an "empty suit"...and they can thank Terry McAufille for his candidacy, which wouldn't have happened without Terry "Big Mac's" idea of frontloading the primaries.

Some days, I seriously thank God for those on the other side.....(grin)

Nothing personal to anyone (especially you, Mr./Ms. Solson!). That kind of stuff comes with regularity on DU; we need to rise above them.

Just my opinion; means nothing to anyone else.

Excellent job. But do something about the "President" part.

"President Bush, of course, made no ugly comments after Kerry recently suffered falls while bicycling and while snowboarding.

Of course. And we know this to be true because..."

The NYT, the LAT, the Washington Post and the AP didn't report that Bush called Kerry an uncoordinated asswipe.

I was just figuring the cost on the lettering and the stars. I had assumed the underlying white paint job was original. If they painted the whole plane, the cost of the paint itself would clearly exceed $10,000 without the labor.

If any entity other than the Kerry Campaign paid for the paint job, it would definitely be a violation of the campagn finance laws.

Someone needs to investigate this brewing scandal.

Ted kennedy. Is he still alive?

Alive? Perhaps 'preserved' is a better term. All the alcohol... Maybe it helps with the flesh thing too.

Is that an Airbus or a Boeing? Wonder how many gallons of jet fuel it gets per mile...

Oh, it doesn't waste precious fossil fuels or pollute. It runs on the goodness generated by John and the DNC. (barf)

These reports of Kerry being disliked within Democratic circles are so persistant, but muted by the Press. I don't think that the 'Rats thought that he'd overcome Howard Dean (who at least stirred the passion of his followers). Now they are stuck with a man that they don't like, who's arrogant and distant, and who has virtually no allies within the party. If even Ted Kennedy is making fun of him--which you know John Kerry has heard about--then it seems that the last 'rats are abandoning the ship, so to speak.

It's really not surprising that the Democrats in this case are attacking Bush so mercilessly. They have nothing good to say about their own guy but they are in a fight for the most powerful political office in the world so they get more and more hateful towards our leader. And the media support them for two reasons:

1. They are Liberal Bush-haters themselves for the most part.

2. The media needs this thing to be a horse-race going into November.

I think that this is why Bush-Rove have gone quiet in their campaign. They've weakened Kerry and proven that they can do it again--at will. But it doesn't help to push him down too far since the media will blacken Bush just to "keep things even." The Bush Campaign has often reported that there would be some point in the campaign where Kerry would be leading.

It's hard not to peak too soon and I think that Bush has a lot of major news surprises that will start hitting in the fall--the Iraq turnover, Sadaam's trial, WMD in Syria, some of our troops coming home by late fall, etc.

Kerry knows he won't win in November, and it won't even be close. This way he can claim that he was forced to stop his fund raising early and that the Republicans 'bought' the election. Now the DNC and their wacko loonies have a rallying point for the next 4 years! Don't forget - this is the 'not my fault' party.

Have you seen the paint job on his new airplane?

The man has his own 757 (even if only wet leased)? At least we know why he's worrying about running out of campaign money. Oops I forgot, it probably belongs to the Ketchup Lady, and he just gets to borrow it.... No thats not right either, according to the link where the picture can be found, it belongs to TransMeridan Airlines, and was chartered by the Democratic Party. It's named "The Real Deal". BARF!
